A
day late, a dollar short
A
woe that causes a business deal to abort
In
sports the adage might be a percent of snaps missed
A
million dollar bonus to be dismissed
Led
by quarterback Jim Foles, the defending champs, the Eagles, made it into the
playoffs
Their
season was a season of peaks of joy and the woes of losing troughs
But
on Sunday they beat the Redskins for a spot to clinch
But
Foles missed a million dollar bonus by the proverbial inch
He
had to have played in 33 percent of the game’s snaps
In
order to with his hands around the bonus wrap
Rib
injury in the game caused him to leave early the field of play
Percent
of snaps halted at 32 percent the bonus went away
Before
we shed tears of lament for Foles $1 million bonus lost
He
came to the Eagles as a back up last year at a 2 year $11 million cost.
