Politics and sports do not mix
unless the mixture is to unite
Like the ping pong diplomacy or
Olympics that call a truce and put conflict in flight
But using sports as a platform to
interject personal political beliefs can bring only lost revenues along with grief
Jamele Hill is a classic case
As an anti-Trump pundit totally off
base
Rants on ESPN that he was a bigot,
as a president not fit
Missing the point-fans watching a
game want non sports disputes to quit
Calling advertisers to boycott the
Cowboys
Biting the pocket of ESPN who her
employs
Not very bright, not very smart
So today she announced she would
depart
Good riddance and farewell
On sports absent politics one hopes
you dwell
Or shed the sports and join the
commentators on the political scene
Hopefully without the rhetoric today
so nasty and mean
