Iditarod Report March 2, 2019
Unlike some past years
There is no fear of a lack of snow
The 11 mile start to the Campbell airstrip starts this awesome show
52 musher with their dogs
Out of Willow begin their above 900 mile slog
The Last Great Race on Earth
Where dogs and humans against the elements prove their worth
To commemorate the dog sleds with serum racing to Nome
Where a diphtheria epidemic had just called its new home
Miles upon miles of loneliness, cold, ice and snow
Blasted by gusty winds that will tip over a sled when they blow
Updates will start on the morrow and will continue until last Musher enters Nome
Check this blog for progress of the mushers as across the barren Alaskan wilderness they roam
