SFO’s downtown area has been hit by the perfect storm
The trifecta of COVID, homeless, drugs, feces and crime as
the retail norm
Vacancies in the downtown keep climbing to record heights
Fewer and fewer workers to buy a lunchtime bite
Or celebrate the end of the work day with a drink
The hopes for a revival in SFO continue to sink
News today is that another landmark last month closed its doors
Big Macs and McCrispy’s to sell no more
McDonalds located on front street for 30 years in a former Golden State Bank
Gave up as customer vibrancy never recovered and remained in the tank
Across the urban areas in the cities a suffering of the trifecta across the
nation
Even those not really burdened with homeless, drugs and feces little salvation
In California a 4th blow to add to the trifecta woe
Starting on April 1, 2024 a $20 per hour minimum wage into fast food workers’
pockets go
