Always great to see records set
And along with the record better yet
The young man will not get his sheepskin with a huge amount of debt
As he prepares to go to Cornell a slight regret
Getting into premier schools like Stanford or Yale
Hard to get in even with 4+ and max SAT test scores many will fail
How many high school seniors' chance to gain admission was lost?
Because Barnes' applications were accepted and others were into the waiting list tossed?
Cornell is a great school but proximity to Silicon Valley would be a stronger suit
Admission to Stanford in computer science would have meant a career with more loot
