March 11, 2021 Ridley's Believe It Or Not National 311 Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not March 11, 2021

CV World Cases: The CV pandemic across the planet continues the new year with cases now over 119 million at 119,045,435 with 415,390 new cases (a .35% increase) 21,862,838  which are active, 97,182,597 closed with 94,542,861 recoveries (97.28% and 97.28% yesterday) and 2,639,736 deaths (2.72% and 2.72% yesterday) to continue the trend of increased cases with increased recovery percentages and decreased death percentages with some plateaus.

CV USA Cases: Total cases now nearing 30 million at 29,909,515  with 47,391 new cases (a .16% increase) with 8,665,944 active cases of which 12,550 (.14% of active cases and back to daily decreases and a now a decrease now of 16,721 from a peak of 29,271 on December 31) are in serious or critical condition, 21,243,571 closures, 543,305 of which have been deaths (2.56% and 2.56% yesterday) and 20,700,266 of which have been recoveries (97.44% and 97.44% yesterday). Our death rate percentage continues to improve and after many months is now .16% lower than the world rate and now .01% lower than Canada which has the socialized type medicine Biden may well want to implement here but at least has approved 4 vaccines as opposed to our 3  and on a deaths per million population measurement on a steady climb to 1635 ranks behind Belgium (1922), UK (1837) which had passed us despite leading world in testing), Hungary (1711), Italy (1675), and Portugal (1635) and only slightly worse than Bulgaria (1591), Spain (1541),  Mexico (1482), Peru (1452), France (1374), Sweden (1293) that never closed its economy down like we did but has recently been experiencing a rapid rise in  deaths, Brazil (1278),  Poland (1226), Argentina (1173) Switzerland (1160), Chile (1111), and Bolivia (1009) and we have now conducted  374,252,704 tests (now at 1,126,109/M) compared to number 2 now Spain at  861,550/M) as we are conducting  more tests in number and on a per capital basis for all nations (other than those nations that contain small populations like Bahrain, Denmark,  Israel, Malta, Singapore and UAE) other than the U.K. which remains off the testing charts with tests at 1,487,027/M.

US Vaccinations: In the U.S. as of 3/10/2021 98.2 million doses have been given, 2.23 million per day in the last week (sounds impressive but if the rate does not increase it will take us now reduced to some 5 months to have 75% of the population vaccinated which many believe is necessary to develop herd immunity. In California 11,220,508 total doses have been given (71.4% of doses received to again remain below U.S. average of 74.9%), but even with the pressure of more than 1.95 million recall signatures have been turned in, California has dropped from 39th to 42nd  out of 50 in terms of the percentage of doses administered as a percentage of doses delivered to the states and at 9.0% of its population fully vaccinated is tied for 46th place with Texas in percentage of residents fully vaccinated . A long way to go to get herd immunity and lagging behind in terms of getting vaccines received into arms and percentage of population vaccinated compared to other states and a great reason to recall this inept governor. As of 3/7/2021 the COVID Tracking Project stopped tracking hospitalization data from the states so California’s data will no longer appear.

Non CV Case News: Finally Biden has reappeared to allay the fears he previously was spreading that dark days were ahead on the CV front by switching tunes to claim the best days are now ahead (may be true  on the virus front but doubtful on the illegal alien front and lower income workers who will be competing with millions of illegals Biden is pushing to be allowed to get green cards and enter the work force); Biden announced his goal of goal having all Americans eligible to be vaccinated by May 1 in his speech tonight after blasting the administration that pushed through the vaccines that are now ending up in American arms (stuck in his basement bunker during the campaign probably oblivious to work on the vaccines that will beat this virus); you know the water of scandal on the Cuomo Ship of State must be rising when leftist “journalist” Rachel Maddow warns viewers that Cuomo’s scandals are developing by the second; Biden walks on water is bad enough but at least the movement to historically persevere Harris’ childhood home has for now been rebuffed; Cuomo’s days as governor are becoming rightfully number as a police report has been filed over the last sexual harassment claim which should lead to commencement of the process to move to his impeachment; thank God prospective jurors in the Chauvin Floyd murder trial may still have some honesty as Juror 37 was dismissed after revealing the video of his death brought tears to her eyes and that rioting was necessary to advance the BLM agenda (how could any juror after remembering what happened in Los Angeles after the acquittal of the police officers charged with the beating of Rodney King not feel immense pressure to convict to avoid his or her town from being destroyed by a riot following an acquittal?); as March Madness is soon upon us, after winning the PAC-12 Title for the 14th time the Stanford Women should have a number one seed in their Regional Bracket; backers of a recall effort for L.A. DA Gascon have formally started the process and have started the 160 day clock to obtain 580,000 signatures of registered voters to place a recall on the ballot  https://recallgeorgegascon.com/; while Biden seems to be in a full on increasing mental fade, leave it to a political cartoonist to reveal Harris’ chomping at the bit to invoke the 25th as she measures the curtains for the Oval Office:  https://www.foxnews.com/politics/cartoons-slideshow: although 80% of the recall Newsom signatures have been verified and 1.95 million signatures have been collected, signature drive continues to insure a recall in the event that any of the 1.5 million signatures already received are not valid to insure Newsom is put on a recall ballot where he needs to be given his unmitigated ineptness: https://recallgavin2020.com/petition/

Chicago Gun Violence: HeyJackass.com is back to show that through March 10, 2021,  gun violence involving mostly persons of color shooting persons of color in Chicago is alive and well with 533 persons shot of whom 102 have died.

Reflections on the Lend-Lease Act in House Majority Leader John McCormick’s response to an Irish-American constituent who opposed aiding the British due to Britain’s oppression of Ireland: “Madam, do you realize that the Vatican is surrounded on all sides by totalitarianism? Madam, this is not a bill to save the English, this is a bill to save Catholicism.” Spoken like a true Blue politician able to twist words and meanings to achieve goals.
