In the Russia Ukraine War Russia
has launched massive missile and drown strikes against Kviv in response to
Ukraine drone and missile strikes on the Russian city of Belgorod while our aid
package to Ukraine is in limbo at a time where our military aid to Israel and
Taiwan is in limbo also at a time when President XI is rattling sabers
promising Taiwan will be reunited with force.
Iran’s continued financial and
military aid to the Houthi Rebels as they continue to try to sink shipping in
the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea will be isolated further as a sponsor of
terror as India is joining the fray to prevent attacks in the Indian Ocean.
Assuming Biden still as some spine left do not be surprised if the Houthi
Rebels are able to destroy or severely damaged an oil tanker that the response
would be to destroy an Iranian oil production platform. We are sinking Houthi
Rebel small attack boats whenever with hostile intent they appear in the Red
Sea or Gulf of Aden.
On the EV front subsidies
for EV’s are facing a risk as they are curtailed for cars with batteries made
in China which means we need a Manhattan like project to produced batteries
here, to produce batteries with a longer range and a quicker charging time and
many, many more charging stations being built or reduced emissions from fossil
fueled powered cars will be a frustrating pipe dream.
On the illegal surge front a
caravan of illegals totaling more 8,000 has just crossed into Mexico’s southern
border with the organizer a zealot open border proponent bragging that it will
near 15,000 when it reaches the U.S. while Blinken is hand in hand visiting
Mexico seeking their assistance in securing their southern border. So far only
Texas has recognized what the surge of illegals really is—an invasion mostly
without arms and is now arresting illegals crossing into Texas which Arizona, New
Mexico and most importantly California should follow coupled with no aid and
assistance and sending them back home which cause illegal immigration to dry up
overnight. We cannot allow this continuing level of illegals continue to surge
across the border and thin into our interior.
The cry in California by
surfers of “Surf’s Up” has been drowned out by cries of the “Surf’s Really,
Really Up” as waves in the 20 to 40 feet range have been hitting California
north of Ventura to the Bay Area.

Noted Holidays: National Soda Day:
Clueless who or when created this holiday to promote the use of an ubiquitous
kitchen and household product from cooking to eliminating orders of state food
in the refrigerator but fortunately it is relatively inexpensive.
Word
of the Day: The word of the day as we continue with words
starting with “b” is “breedbate” which means someone
looking for an argument and probably not at all interested in using reason and
logic to win but more likely ad hominem
attacks and ignorance of the facts.
Song of the
Day: Leaving the number 1 songs on this day in 1940’s to
come back to the number song in 1995 in the U.S.A. was “One
Sweet Day” by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men on a run of 5 weeks to share number 1
status with 7 other songs, while 5 acts achieved their first 1st
number 1 single. Here is a music video with lyrics of Mariah Carey and Boyz II
Men “One Sweet Day”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXxRyNvTPr8
December 30 Birthdays: “Dieting
No Longer Slam Dunk Sign of Running For President”: Celebrating the birthday on December 30, 1963
of Mike Pompeo in Orange, California who went on to graduate first in his class
at West Point to after 5 years retire a captain and enroll in Harvard Law
School Formed an aerospace company with West Point classmates to then serve in
the House of Representatives and CIA Director and Secretary of State in Trump
Administration; strong Trump supporter but a political realist and even after
losing weight unlike Chris Christie and a presentable candidate chose not to
run for president but if Trump wins do not be surprised to see Pompeo well
qualified to deal with Iran, China and Russia as Secretary of Defense.

Quotes on the Iroquois
Theater Fire and the Architect who designed it by Anthony P. Hatch, author
of Tinder Box: The Iroquois Theatre Disaster 1903:
“He[the architect]
was very young, and he said he studied every theater disaster previously to
avoid any such thing happening with the Iroquois. Well, he should’ve done more
homework.”
“[Architect
Benjamin Marshall] didn’t want exit signs to be displayed in the theater
because he thought it would ruin the look. He was all for the design.”
“In
my opinion, it shouldn't have happened. The people responsible should have been
brought to trial. What more can be said, except that the lessons are learned so
that we can avoid future accidents like this.”
