Another
mass shooting this time in Louisville, Kentucky at an Old National Bank
location where 23 year old Connor Sturgeon, who was a former employee of the
bank entered the facility at 8:30 a.m. and started shooting while livestreaming
his acts. Within 3 minutes police had arrived and engaged the shooter in a
shootout that wounded 2 officers, one critically. Before the shooter died from
police fire, he killed 4 people and 7 civilians. ESPN sports anchor Mike
Greenberg who underwent cardiac ablation surgery on Tuesday was reaming 62 year
old Fred Couples who became the oldest player at the Masters to make the cut
for his attire on Sunday (give seniors a break Mike!). The first shoe from the
shooting of 25 year old first grade teacher Abby Zwerner by her 6 year old
student at Richneck Elementary in Newport News, Virginia has dropped with her
$40 million law suit against the school district there has dropped and has been
followed by the indictment of the shooter’s mother, Deja Taylor for felony
child neglect and a misdemeanor recklessly leaving a firearm to endanger a
child. Really disturbing documents obtained reveal that our once objective and
nonpoliticized FBI was trying to develop plants in Catholic churches to combat “domestic
terrorism).
Noted Holidays: Dyngus Day: Celebrated in Polish communities and dating back to 1,000 A.D. where Polish males douse females with water and gently whip them with pussy willow branches. Hard to believe in our highly sensitive concern over physical assault this holiday is still observed.
Word of the Day: The word of the day is “altiloquence” which means pompous speech which can easily describe what we often hear from our elected leaders and appointed bureaucrats.
Number 1 Song: As we have left the past and returned to start the clock backwards from the present, the number 1 song on this day in 2018 was “God’s Plan” by Drake on a run of 11 weeks noncontinuous to share with 11 other songs that achieved number 1 status while 9 acts achieved number 1 status for the first time. Here is a music video with lyrics of Drake performing “God’s Plan”:

Famous Quotes on Events and Issues
Bill Clinton on the Good Friday Agreement: “The agreement that has emerged from the Northern Ireland peace talks opens the way for the people there to build a society based on enduring peace, justice and equality. The vision and commitment of the participants in the talks has made real the prayers for peace on both sides of the Atlantic and both sides of the peace line. All friends of Ireland and Northern Ireland know the task of making the peace endure will be difficult. The path of peace is never easy. But the parties have made brave decisions. They have chosen hope over hate; The promise of the future over the poison of the past. And in so doing, already they have written a new chapter in the rich history of their island, a chapter of resolute courage that inspires us all. In the days to come there may be those who will try to undermine this great achievement, not only with words but perhaps also with violence. All the parties and all the rest of us must stand shoulder to shoulder to defy any such appeal.”
