ICE Mandatory Retirement Age=Bad Idea

It is a good thing that because of the growing illegals’ perception
That they will find themselves the target of ICE interceptions
So the number of crossings at the border is at an historic low and continuing to fall
Better yet the House has tightened the screws and appropriated almost $2 billion as a down payment for the wall
But before popping the champagne corks and raising glasses to toast
We have another example of why when it comes to efficiency, government we need to roast
ICE has a shortage of agents due to retirement and Trump’s demand to enforce the law
Yet agents who want to stay employed are subject to a mandatory retirement age flaw
At 57 no matter your skills or mental or physical condition you are out the door
No matter how many drugs you have seized or illegals caught your worth is to be ignored
In the private sector if a person with many years of experience continued to perform well
The last thing you would want to do would be to force him or her to ring the retirement bell
More likely than not in that case you would be sued for discrimination
Sent to the purgatory of never ending litigation damnation
If we are serious about draining the sanctuary cities’ illegal alien swamp
Where illegals especially criminals think they can roam free and on residents stomp
We need more ICE agents not less
Enforcement of mandatory retirement ages we should suppress
