Spring
is still 17 days away with yet another winter storm coming into play
New
England will be hit by more snow to the suffering residents’ dismay
Over
8 feet of snow complete with icy slick roads
Another
day to stay in one’s humble abode
Will
this be winter’s final last gasp?
Large
parts of the nation in another snowy frigid grasp?
Computer
models may the weather try to predict
But
after 8 feet of snow of this white blanket most have come to be sick
With
thousands of flights cancelled or delayed
Travelers’
tempers have to be extremely frayed
When
the economic numbers for the first quarter are released
Will
the recovery due to weather have ceased?
Shivering
in their homes, schools and offices, quaking in fear at next month’s heating
bill
Shaking
their fist at the shadow prediction on Groundhog’s Day of Punxsutawney Phil
Even
though in California we are regulated and taxed to death
Other
than in the mountains it is rarely cold enough to see a frosty exhaled breath
And
when it hails in Huntington as on last Monday it did
Less
than a melting inch, no danger of cars slipping, losing traction into crashing skids
