More Than 60,000 Illegals Are On Panama Are Heading North to Biden's Open Border and Mayorkas Hobbles Ice's Ability to Deport are a

Psaki lies as a matter of course & is dumb enough 2 believe
That Americans’ll buy her claim the border is closed when 15,000 illegals under a Del Rio bridge were waiting entry soon 2 achieve
Disclosure that more than 12,000 many w/COVID-19 were bussed into the interior & let go
W/promises 2 appear at an asylum hearing where most claims R denied so they won’t go
News that 60,000+ more R on the Columbian Panama border 2 our border heading
Another example of Biden’s open border agenda that increasing numbers of Americans R dreading
So Mayorkas who has been a lying inept DHS Secretary has decided 2 w/his pen
Complete the wall, stay in Mexico policy 2 reinstall as 4r the 60,000 surge it’s not if but when
No in another handcuffing & hobbling directive on deportation
Illegal alien status alone is not grounds 2  expel them from this nation
If U a farm worker the elderly or an illegal at a pro-immigration protest
U cannot these 4 deportation hearings arrest
The new crippling standard is whether the illegal is a public safety threat
The burden on our schools medical care and welfare services we must ignore & forget
How many illegals living here R on welfare or clog the emergency care halls?
How many illegals taking jobs 2 cause wages 4 citizens 2 fall?
How many illiterate illegals cause schools 2 fall 2 the lowest common denominator 2 try 2 teach?
How many illegals here R causing public housing 2 B out of citizens reach?
Competing w/poor unskilled citizens in the work place 2 strip them of their jobs
Condemning them 2 a life of minimum wage & any chance 4 good schooling & progress rob
Light bulbs in Mayorkas’ brain must power up
U can’t have welfare 4 the poorest citizens if the border is open & the safety net is bankrupt.
Collectively the M’s  R all a  safety threat
All save the best & brightest & most needed, by ICE agents must B met

RIDLEY’S BELIEVE IT OR NOT September 29, 2021
CV World Cases: The CV pandemic across the planet continues on an increasing basis with cases now over 233 million at 233,994,141 cases,  18,308,089 of which are active, 215,595,204  closed with 210,808,129 recoveries (97.78%), and 4,787,075 deaths (2.22% )to continue the low trend of increased cases with increased recovery percentages and decreased death percentages with some plateaus, dips, and rises.
CV USA Cases: Total cases now over 44 million at 44,168,010 with 9,864,470 active cases of which 21,047 are serious or critical, (8,599 on 3/25/2021) (back to steady decreases despite the  Delta variant to .213 % of active cases and to increase the reduction from the 29,271 peak on 12/31/2020 to 8,224, 34,303,540 closures with 713,690 deaths (2.08%) and with 33,589,850 recoveries (97.92%). Our death rate percentage is still .14% lower than the world’s death rate.
Standing: On a deaths per million population measure on a steady   but slow climb to 2141 the U.S. ranks behind Peru (5943) the new number 1 which has had a quantum leap in deaths previously unmatched which was a change in the classification to give Peru the a new method of reporting to have a fatality rate of 9.26% of total cases now; Hungary the new number 2 has had a huge continuing surge in deaths with the increase now slowing down and improving slightly to  3.77% of its closed cases have died (3135), aping Hungary in terms of increase in deaths Bulgaria (2024),   Brazil (2780) which has been hit with a rapid rise in deaths and cases and passed us and Italy, Argentina (2519),  Columbia newly added to the list  (2449),   Belgium (2195), and Italy (2168), and slightly better than Mexico (2116), Poland (2001), UK (1998),  Chile (1939), Romania (1932), Spain (1847),  Ecuador newly added to list (1823),  France (1782), Portugal (1769), Bolivia (1577),  Sweden (1456) that never closed its economy down like we did, and Switzerland (1270). As vaccine mandate hysteria grows in the U.S., if you are infected you have a 1.615% chance of dying and if you are over 65 the percentages of deaths for that group is 78%.
Tests: We have now conducted 639,601,967 tests (1,918,330/M) just passed by France at 2,128,349 who is now 1st  on a per capital basis for all nations (other than those nations that contain small populations like Bahrain, Denmark, Israel, Malta, Singapore and UAE) other than the U.K. which remains as king of the mountain with respect to tests at 4,423,574/M.
CV Open Gate: Lost in the pronouncements by Biden and his lackeys  that there is no crisis of illegals surging across the border is that fact that COVID-19 is alive and well and spreading in the Northern Triangle and Mexico which has been passed by Argentina and newly added Columbia but passed the UK  to drop to 10th  on my list of deaths from the pandemic  at 2116/M with a fatality rate of 8.44% of closed cases and the 3 countries in the Northern Triangle in terms of active cases and deaths per million are as follows even though the data may be suspect as underreported (regardless of number we need no more cases):
                     Guatemala:  Active Cases:  28,302 Deaths/M 738
                     Honduras:    Active Cases: 245,552 Deaths/M 966
                     El Salvador:  Active cases:   14,275 Deaths/M 494
US Vaccinations: As of 9/29/2021 392.0 million doses,  .707 million per day (down to 4 months for 75% of population vaccinated) and in California 87,672  per day  (which means if the rate does not increase it will take us now only  some 3 months to have 75% of the population of California vaccinated which many believe is necessary to develop herd immunity (other than Flip Flop Fauci who may believe that 90% is required).  In California 50,546,180 total doses have been given (86.7%  of doses received to exceed the U.S. average of 82.8%), California has not oved  moved from 7th  of the 50 states in terms of the percentage of doses administered as a percentage of doses delivered to the states and at 58.9% of its population fully vaccinated compared to the U.S. average of 55.9% and has   moved  from 15th place to 13th place as a percentage of the population fully vaccinated. A  long way to go still to get herd immunity in terms of getting vaccines received into arms and the percentage of the population fully vaccinated compared to other states which means a great reason to recall this inept and hypocritical governor.
Non  CV News: Senator Manchin has indicated in no uncertain terms he will not vote for Biden’s $3.5 to 5+ fiscal insanity plan; Psaki who lies almost of reflex the most recent being the border is closed (maybe to those crossing legally at Del Rio International Bridge but a lie for the thousands crossing the river illegally) has finally walked back her lie that the Biden’s $3.5 million boondoggle will have zero cost because it will be paid for by the rich and wealthy corporations that are not paying their “fair share”; MSNBC “journalist” Chris Hayes was in a major snit fit meltdown over Manchin’s refusal to back Biden’s fiscal insanity scaring the living daylights over his diminished band of watchers claiming we are going to die it the bill is not passed; Biden made a surprise appearance at the annual Congressional Baseball to be booed by many of the fans in attendance and then named to the games Hall of Fame; in the era of smart phone cameras politicians guilty of hypocrisy run a great risk as Governor McAuliffe in a close race and a proponent of mask laws was caught on a Amtrak train maskless in front of a placard reminding passengers to wear masks; Brittaney Spears received the great news that her father’s conservatorship over her had ended; the Biden Administration is dragging its feet again on reinstating the requirement that asylum seekers remain in Mexico until their cases are heard (that is too lenient and asylum seekers which are primarily of an economic nature and will be refused should require the asylum seekers seek asylum in their own country after filing their petition  at the American consulate there); as Biden thank God appears to be coming up on a stone wall of resistance on his $3.5 trillion plus reconciliation bill, leave it to the political cartoonist to portray the inability to make a silk purse out or a sow’s ear:

Chicago Gun Violence: Hey Jackass.com is alive and well to collect data to show that through September 28, 2021, gun violence involving mostly persons of color shooting mostly persons of color in Chicago is alive and well with 3549 persons shot of whom 613 have died.

2012  Number 1 Song USA—the number 1 song in 2012 on this day was “One More Night”  Maroon 5  on  a run in that position of 9 weeks to join 11 other  songs that achieved number 1 status  as 6  acts  achieved their first number 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100. Here is a music video of “One More Night” by Maroon 5:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwK7ggA3-bU.

Word of the Day—the word of the day is “sferics” which means the study of storms using electrical detectors which makes weather  forecasting and storm alerts more reliable which in an era of potential climate change is a good trend.
              5.
Should Have Paid More Attention to the Doctors Played-- celebrating the birth on this day in 1939 of noted TV actor and big screen actor Larry Linville who often was cast in the role of doctors and is best remembered for his role as Major Frank Burns on M*A*S*H who in real life was a heavy drinker and smoker and who came down with lung cancer and died from complications following surgery from removing part of his lung on April 10, 2000.
         On this day in:

          b. 1923 the first American Women’s Track and Field Championships were held in Weeqhauhic Park, Newark, New Jersey with 11 events with the longest race, one hundred yards, and no basketball or softball but a basketball toss and a softball toss.

          e. 2004 Burt Rutan’s SpaceShipOne, the first privately funded space ship made a successful suborbital flight into space reaching an altitude of 102.93 km which qualified for the 1st of 2 space flights needed to qualify for the Ansari X Prize of $10 million payable to the first reusable spaceship, privately funded capable 3 people over 100 km into space and replicating the feat within 2 weeks thereafter which was accomplished on October 4, 2004.

Reflections on private enterprise and space travel: “ Private enterprise can do things in many ways much more efficiently, ... As small as we are and as little money as we had, we did amazing things. Mike Melville the pilot of SpaceShipOne Sadly truer words were never more spoken as one looks at the waste in the Swamp and far too many state capitals.

Behar Enemy of Democracy Is Not Manchin But Biased MSM Like You Who Won't Hold Or Cognitively Challenged President to Accountmendtwoaracy rcyn

Joy Behar shows once again on The View
When it comes to inflation and economics she is without a clue
Mind so clouded with bias she has bought the there is no cost hook line and sinker
Clearly her brain has only room for being a Blue rabid hack with no room to be a thinker
With inflation on an increasing upward trend
The fall in real wages seems not likely in the near future to end
A typical Behar rant
No concealing her leftist slant
But in her leftist wrath she called Manchin “the Enemy of Democracy”
Blind to the fact that the true enemies are the left’s one party autocracy
And a MSM that is so blinded by bias it ignores Biden’s failings that continue to mount
That goes to any length to avoid bringing the Biden Administration to account
With McCain gone and 5 leftist Pinocchio’s on the set

Viewers wanting news not bias will quickly switch to channels with a more objective mindset

A  long way to go still to get herd immunity in terms of getting vaccines received into arms and the percentage of the population fully vaccinated compared to other states which means a great reason to recall this inept and hypocritical governor.
Non  CV News: the top generals were testifying before the Senate Armed Forces Committee on the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan and they testified they recommended to Biden that 2500 American troops remain in Afghanistan (assuming they were telling the truth and not perjuring themselves Biden either lied to the American public that he was never told or maybe far more likely, his weakened mental state made it impossible to remember the conversation); over concerns that the feds have taken over the distribution of monoclonal antibodies needed to treat COVID-19 and will favor Blue run states in terms of priority and amount, Governor Abbott of Texas has had its state secure its own sources; the 4 clueless co-hosts on The View got into a mayor snit fit over vaccine mandates with Caitlyn Jenner who opposes them but who is vaccinated and ridiculing those who will not get vaccinated and ignoring that many may only be following the lead of Harris and Biden when while campaigning they cast doubt on the safety of any vaccine developed by Trump; Novant Health Systems in North Carolina is set to fire some 175 health care workers out of some 35,000 employees who unlike the rest refused to take the needle (no news if some or any of them had already had COPVID-19 which would give them immunity and one would think grounds to refuse); as even Psaki finally stopped lying long enough to admit the  multi trillion dollar reconciliation bill will cost and not be as Biden so inanely touted free but dodged and weaved to falsely claim the  super-rich would pay for it; Blues Sinema and Manchin are being vilified by the MSM for opposing the $3.5 trillion plus reconciliation as too expensive and too inflationary to support; the liberal rag the New York Times  reluctantly file a correction to its false story the CBP officers on horseback were whipping illegal aliens at the Del Rio border; the racial divide in all areas of our lives continues with New Hampshire being suing for prioritizing nonwhite residents for the COVID-19 Vaccine over whites while Vermont’s governor is opening clinics for BIPOC that whites need not apply and the chief medical examiner for NYC is advocating the end of color blind treatment for medical services; Elizabeth Warren has the decorum of a snake as she called Powell who is seeking renomination to the Fed as the “most dangerous man alive”: Mayorakis who has been a deceiving and lying failure at DHS after acknowledging that over 12,000 Haitians had been released into the border compared to the minuscule numbers for show that had been flown back to Haiti admitted to being surprised that some 20 percent had been infected with the Delta Variant of COVID-19 (talk about a super spreader event!); Biden finally is waking up to the real possibility that his idiotic $3.5 trillion spending package may go down in flames due to opposition in his own party has cancelled a trip to Chicago to remain in town to lobby for its passage; while the MSM jumped on the false narrative of CBP whipping illegals at Del Rio and Biden tried to lie about our over the horizon capabilities to conceal the reality of his botched Afghanistan withdraw, leave it to the political cartoonist to graphically portray his and the MSM’s hypocrisy:

As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, factoids of interest for this day in history, a  music video link to  “Moves Like Jagger”  by Maroon 5 feat. Christina Aguilera, the fact that no one can accuse you of being a sesquipedalian  and a quote on how bacteria may become resistant to penicillin,

              1.
Freedom from Hunger Day—created in Yolo County with an exhibit of areas of the planet where extreme hunger rules in 2006 and made a public awareness day in California in 2007 which is great that awareness over hunger in the world outside our borders is promoted but hopefully not at the expense of awareness of the growing pangs of hunger that plagues millions of our citizens her in our own lands.
              2.
World Rabies Day--created by the Alliance for Rabies Control in 2007 and celebrated on September 28 of each year, the anniversary of the death of Louis Pasteur who brought us the rabies vaccine to promote awareness of the disease and prevention methods like vaccinations of dogs and the need to start treatment if bitten by an infected animal.
              3.
2011  Number 1 Song USA—the number 1 song in 2011 on this day was “Moves Like Jagger” by Maroon 5 feat. Christina Aguilera on  a run in that position of 4 weeks noncontinuous to join 13 other  songs that achieved number 1 status  as 9  acts that  achieved their first number 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100. Here is a music video of “Moves Like Jagger” by Maroon 5 feat. Christina Aguilera:  Marron 5 is a pop band formed in Los Angeles in 1994 as Kara’ Flowers and morphed into Maroon 5 in 2001 and is still performing and touring with 7 albums to their credit and over 135 million records sold.
              4.
Word of the Day—the word of the day is “sesquipedalian” which means a tendency to use longwinded or complex words which fortunately given his cognitive difficulties is a trait that Biden can no longer master.
              5.
Box Not Needed to Remain a Cultural Icon-- celebrating the birth on this day in 1934 of noted French sex symbol Bridget Bardot who retired from the business in 1973 after appearing in 47 movies and recording more than 60 songs and at 87 is an animal rights activist and an occasional protestor who has been fined 5 times over promoting racial hatred due to her stance on French immigration laws and Islam.
         On this day in:
          a. 1919 the Omaha Race riot began and when it had ended the next day a black prisoner had been lynched, 2 white rioters killed, over 20 policemen wounded and the mayor of the city almost lynched.
          b. 1928 Alexander Fleming observed a mold on bread which became the first antibiotic drug penicillin.
          c. 1986 the Democratic Progressive Party became the first independent political party on Taiwan.
          d. 1994 the ferry enroute from Tallin, Estonia to Stockholm, carrying 989 passengers and crew, sank in the Baltic Sea on the early morning hours on September 28, killing 852 people.
          e. 2008 Falcon 1 became the first privately financed liquid fueled rocket to launch a payload into orbit.

Reflections on the danger of anti-biotic resistant bacteria:   It is not difficult to make microbes resistant to penicillin in the laboratory by exposing them to concentrations not sufficient to kill them, and the same thing has occasionally happened in the body. The time may come when penicillin can be bought by anyone in the shops. Then there is the danger that the ignorant man may easily underdose himself and by exposing his microbes to non-lethal quantities of the drug make them resistant.” Alexander Fleming Sadly his warning was on point as we now face the resistant staph bacteria that defy too many antibiotics with deadly effects.

Biden's Bridge Disaster at the Border

Certain bridges have been etched in literature or the political sound bites
Arnhem was the “Bridge Too Far” as the Brits were defeated in their Market Garden gamble fight
The Edmund Pettus in Selma on a Sunday with blood was covered red
The Brooklyn Bridge the buyer beware as from a fool his money would be shed
The “Bridge to Nowhere” was Stevens’ 398 million pork bridge to Gravina Island that never went ahead
Chris Cristy’s closing 2 lanes of the George Washington Bridge viewed as a punishment of the mayor of Fort Lee
MSM pounced on him with a “Bridgegate Label” in a politically devastating spree
But the latest bridge to make the news as a political disaster takes the cake
Not the bridge itself but the people under it that are causing voters to realize they made a big mistake
Under the Del Rio International Bridge thousands of illegals mostly Haitians have pitched camp
A glaring example of Biden’s border failures as the number of illegals on an upward ramp
Transparency for the Biden Administration means you can see only what they want you to view
When Fox hired a drone to film the thousands camped out the FAA grounded it so it no longer flew
Majorakis touted the Haitians would be removed and two planes flew a few out
But in the dark of night or away from cameras illegals on busses into the interior continued to mount
Blues are desperate to divert attention from the open border with drugs, trafficking, and bogus asylum claims the rule the day
Racist and inhuman claims for on CBP on horses not whipping the illegals but with their horses blocking their way
Time to ignore such fake news claims and add to the bridge list “Biden’s Bridge Disaster”
Clear photo evidence he is incapable or refuses to illegal alien surge master:

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not September 22, 2021

CV World Cases: The CV pandemic across the planet continues on an increasing basis with cases now over 230 million at 230,672,312 cases,  18,553,393 of which are active, 212,118,919  closed with 207,390,331 recoveries (97.77%), and 4,728,558 deaths (2.23% )to continue the low trend of increased cases with increased recovery percentages and decreased death percentages with some plateaus, dips, and rises.
CV USA Cases: Total cases now over 43 million at 43,309,557 with 9,737,090 active cases of which 23,740 are serious or critical, (8,599 on 3/25/2021) (back to slight decreases despite the  Delta variant to .244 % of active cases and to increase the reduction from the 29,271 peak on 12/31/2020 to 5,531, 33,572,467 closures with 698,331 deaths (2.08%) and with 32,874,136 recoveries (97.92%). Our death rate percentage is still .15% lower than the world’s death rate.
Standing: On a deaths per million population measure on a steady   but slow climb to 2095 the U.S. ranks behind Peru (59365) the new number 1 which has had a quantum leap in deaths previously unmatched which was a change in the classification to give Peru the a new method of reporting to have a fatality rate of 9.26% of total cases now; Hungary the new number 2 has had a huge continuing surge in deaths with the increase now slowing down and improving slightly to  3.77% of its closed cases have died (3130), aping Hungary in terms of increase in deaths Bulgaria (2938),   Brazil (2759) which has been hit with a rapid rise in deaths and cases and passed us and Italy, Argentina (2507),  Columbia newly added to the list  (2444),   Belgium (2191), Italy (2162), and Mexico (2087) and slightly better than Poland (1998), UK (1985),  Chile (1935), Romania (1879), Spain (1840),  Ecuador newly added to list (1818),  France (1777), Portugal (1765), Bolivia (1573),  Sweden (1451) that never closed its economy down like we did, and Switzerland (1264). As vaccine mandate hysteria grows in the U.S., if you are infected you have a 1.614% chance of dying and if you are over 65 the percentages of deaths for that group is 78%.
Tests: We have now conducted 626,080,957 tests (1,878,015/M) just passed by France at 2,117,224 who is now 1st  on a per capital basis for all nations (other than those nations that contain small populations like Bahrain, Denmark, Israel, Malta, Singapore and UAE) other than the U.K. which remains as king of the mountain with respect to tests at 4,316,775/M.
CV Open Gate: Lost in the pronouncements by Biden and his lackeys  that there is no crisis of illegals surging across the border is that fact that COVID-19 is alive and well and spreading in the Northern Triangle and Mexico which has been passed by Argentina and newly added Columbia but passed the UK  to drop to 10th  on my list of deaths from the pandemic  at 2079/M with a fatality rate of 8.49% of closed cases and the 3 countries in the Northern Triangle in terms of active cases and deaths per million are as follows even though the data may be suspect as underreported (regardless of number we need no more cases):
                     Guatemala:  Active Cases:  34,480 Deaths/M 716
                     Honduras:    Active Cases: 241,665 Deaths/M 945
                     El Salvador:  Active cases:   13,905 Deaths/M 481
US Vaccinations: As of 9/21/2021 386.8 million doses,  .764 million per day (down to 4 months for 75% of population vaccinated) and in California 84,684  per day  (which means if the rate does not increase it will take us still some 3 months to have 75% of the population of California vaccinated which many believe is necessary to develop herd immunity (other than Flip Flop Fauci who may believe that 90% is required).  In California 49,800,281 total doses have been given (86.1%  of doses received to exceed the U.S. average of 82.9%), but due to the pressure of a recall vote for which ends today, California has  not moved from 10th  of the 50 states in terms of the percentage of doses administered as a percentage of doses delivered to the states and at 58.1% of its population fully vaccinated compared to the U.S. average of 54.8% and has  not moved  from 15th place as a percentage of the population fully vaccinated.
A  long way to go still to get herd immunity in terms of getting vaccines received into arms and the percentage of the population fully vaccinated compared to other states which means a great reason to recall this inept and hypocritical governor.
Non  CV News: in a large dense wildlife refuge where Laundrie abandoned his Mustang, Florida authorities are using dogs and divers to search for him or a body of him; polls on our cognitive disaster president have his approval rating below water and lower than Obama and Bush but still higher than Trump; Biased and Clueless Behar had the inanity to claim the real victim was not Lewinsky but Hillary Clinton who could have become president (I guess the millions in speaking fees and book deals plus even massive more millions for the Clinton Foundation have not allayed her victimhood); Psaki was pressed on her propaganda briefing if Biden has ever been to the Southern border or will go as she spun the narrative of the CBP agents who were using their horses to block illegals from entering the U.S. not whipping them as MSM biased stooges have falsely claimed; DHS Secretary Mayorkas who went on TV to intone that if Haitian refugees arrived by boat they would return is eating crow as the DHS has had to admit that the wave of Haitians that arrived at the Texas border are be transported into the interior with   “promises to appear” (don’t hold your breath Mayorkas); the Massachusetts State Police Union has sued the state over the vaccine mandates of police officers; Ana Navarro of The View  has asserted that Blues of today would have voted to convict Bill Clinton after his impeachment (doubtful after Hillary and her minions have continued to denigrate and blast Monica Lewinsky); kiss the idea of one nation one flag goodbye as the CRT infected school board for Essex Westford  voted to keep the BLM flag flying at the school’s flagpole; Biden remains hell bent on shoving vaccines down the throats of the military as it came out to oppose preventing the issuance of a dishonorable discharge for service personnel who refuse to be vaccinated and opposed any exemptions for religious reasons or the fact that the service person has had and recovered from COVID-
19;   the Iron Curtain of PC and Woke is crashing down at Penn as the school informed students there would be consequences if they did not use the pronounced requested by any student identified with a pronoun; Di Blasio’s public school teachers vaccine mandate has been approved by a state court; 2 Afghan refugees housed at Wisconsin’s Fort McCoy have been indicted for sexual abuse one involving a minor ( for our safety’s sake one can only pray that this is only a rare isolated incidence, not a common occurrence due to cultural differences; McDonald’s is trying to make the Earth a Happy Place as it announced that in 2025 its Happy Meals toys will be plastic free; the markets were up today as the Fed announced it likely would begin tapering by the end of this year and that rate hikes could be expected in 2022; with outrage growing over pending vaccine mandates leave it to the political cartoonist to graphically create  the symbolism of the origin of the idea:

Chicago Gun Violence: Hey Jackass.com is alive and well to collect data to show that through September 21, 2021, gun violence involving mostly persons of color shooting mostly persons of color in Chicago is alive and well with 3422 persons shot of whom 584 have died.

          e. 1993 a river barge struck a railroad bridge near Mobile, Alabama and 8 minutes later Amtrak’s Sunset Limited crossing the bridge derailed into the river, killing 47 people and injuring over  100 in Amtrak’s deadliest accident:

Reflections on the execution of Nathan Hale:   “He behaved with great composure and resolution, saying he thought it the duty of every good Officer, to obey any orders given him by his Commander-in-Chief; and desired the Spectators to be at all times prepared to meet death in whatever shape it might appear.” Frederick MacKensie, a British Officer’s Diary.  “On the morning of his execution, my station was near the fatal spot, and I requested the Provost Marshal [William Cunningham] to permit the prisoner to sit in my marquee while he was making the necessary preparations. Captain Hale entered: he was calm, and bore himself with gentle dignity, in the consciousness of rectitude and high intentions. He asked for writing materials, which I furnished him: he wrote two letters, one to his mother and one to a brother officer. He was shortly after summoned to the gallows. But a few persons were around him, yet his characteristic dying words were remembered. He said, 'I only regret, that I have but one life to lose for my country.” From the journal of American Captain William Hull who met British Captain John  Montresor who was present at the hanging (do not be surprised if the Cancel Culture Movement does not try to excise Hale’s last words from the history taught to our children.

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not September 21, 2021

CV World Cases: The CV pandemic across the planet continues on an increasing basis with cases now over 229 million at 229,563,517 cases,  18,589,902 of which are active, 210,973,615  closed with 206,264,188 recoveries (97.77%), and 4,709,427 deaths (2.23% )to continue the low trend of increased cases with increased recovery percentages and decreased death percentages with some plateaus, dips, and rises.
CV USA Cases: Total cases now over 42 million at 42,912,833 with 9,709,614 active cases of which 24,330 are serious or critical, (8,599 on 3/25/2021) (back to slight decrease despite the  Delta variant to .251 % of active cases and to increase the reduction from the 29,271 peak on 12/31/2020 to 4,941, 33,203,219 closures with 692,012 deaths (2.08%) and with 32,511,207 recoveries (97.92%).              US Vaccinations: As of 9/16/ 2021 383.0 million doses,  .782 million per day (down to 4 months for 75% of population vaccinated) and in California 88,524  per day  (which means if the rate does not increase it will take us still some 3 months to have 75% of the population of California vaccinated which many believe is necessary to develop herd immunity (other than Flip Flop Fauci who may believe that 90% is required).  In California 49,388,384 total doses have been given (86.5%  of doses received to exceed the U.S. average of 83.0%), but due to the pressure of a recall vote for which ends today, California has  moved from  9th to 10th  of the 50 states in terms of the percentage of doses administered as a percentage of doses delivered to the states and at 57.5% of its population fully vaccinated compared to the U.S. average of 54.2% and has  moved down from 15th place to 16th place as a percentage of the population fully vaccinated.
A  long way to go still to get herd immunity in terms of getting vaccines received into arms and the percentage of the population fully vaccinated compared to other states which means a great reason to recall this inept and hypocritical governor.
Non  CV News: the autopsy of Gabby Petito has confirmed her death was a homicide and now the FBI and Florida police have shifted to the probable killer, her fiancée Brian Laundrie who has been missing for several days; Boris Johnson and Biden met at the White House with British and American members of the press present; Johnson took several questions from the British press but Biden trying to conceal his growing cognitive failings refused to take questions from our press (wave goodbye to any claim of transparency); once again the Biden Administration is lying through their teeth with a couple of planes loaded with Haitians flown out to create the false narrative illegals are being deported while bus load after bus load of illegals are being transported into the interior with notices to appear in immigration court (good luck with compliance on that); the House clearing the deck for the trillions Biden wants to spend that we cannot afford have raised the debt ceiling on a straight party line vote 220-211; the progressives flexed their power and funding for Israel’s Iron Dome was scrapped from an emergency funding bill but Majority Leader Hoyer in a go pound sand move announced he will announce a separate bill which one would think all he had to do is walk across the aisle to get more that the votes needed; our dementia afflicted president is looking more and more like a puppet with his aides pulling the strings as we now learn that his aides hustled the press out of the room as his meeting with Boris Johnson ended but also shouted down the questions the press tried to ask; SEC Chairman Gary Gensler opined that he does not see a long term future for crypto currency;  with the CBP overwhelmed by a growing tidal wave of illegals leave it to the political cartoonist to point out graphically the failures of Biden’s immigration policy:

              3. 2010  Number 1 Song USA—the number 1 song in 2010 on this day was “Teenage Dream” by Katy Perry on  a run in that position of 2 weeks to join 16 other songs that achieved number 1 status  as 9  acts  achieved their first number 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100. Torpedoed by the Feds and the Big C-- celebrating the birth on this day in 1903 of Preston Tucker, noted automotive entrepreneur who founded Tucker Motors to design and produce a revolutionary car many of whose features were later incorporated later on by automobile manufacturers called the “Tucker Torpedo.” He ran afoul of the SEC due to his fundraising methods and was prosecuted for securities fraud and acquitted but company was forced into bankruptcy and the car never entered into production. Tucker was a heavy smoker and like so many heavy smokers contracted lung cancer and died way too soon from it on December 26, 1956, at the age of 53.

         On this day in:
          a. 1780 Benedict Arnold’s name became synonymous with traitor as he delivered the plans of West Point to the British.

Reflections on Alzheimer’s Disease: “Have you ever walked along a shoreline, only to have your footprints washed away? That's what Alzheimer's is like. The waves erase the marks we leave behind, all the sandcastles. Some days are better than others.” Pat Summit, noted woman’s basketball player and coach of the Lady Vols of the University of Tennessee who 8 NCAA finals and held the record when she retired early in 2012 after 38 years  due to early onset Alzheimer’s for most wins at 1098 which was surpassed by Stanford coach Tara van der Vere (1125) and UConn coach Geno Auriemma (1019).
