Too Many AD's Had Their Heads in the Sand to Face Reality in 2024 of the PAC 4

On a plane with the Eskimo on the tail
Of to the Aloha state to see the Cardinal the Rainbow Warriors to assail
The once proud and vibrant PAC 12 shedding team weights like an athletic Jenny Craig
In 2024 unless the pigskin rabbit is pulled out of the hat we in the athletic dregs
USC and UCLA announcing their leaving effective 2024
That other teams would soon follow should have been foreseen
Should have been the “All Hands On Deck Klaxon Call” not ignored
In football it will be the Pac 4 with only 4 teams
With two losing seasons the Cardinal ink color was also red
To continue the plethora of sports invading the endowment or teams shed
4 teams will not a Conference Make
TV networks and rankers would quickly forsake
Since California is in the forefront of being green
A conference where from long carbon spewing jets are weaned
Sac State, San Jose State, Fresno State, San Diego State and Cal Poly at SLO
The Cal Magnificent 7 never too much carbon to an away game go
And maybe a young member of the Cal University System with wealthy alums up the wazoo
UC Irvine in a conference might want to form a football team and join in too
Cal Tech has too many nerds
Has a team but no thundering herds
Far better idea than begging to join the ACC
And having to wait 10 years for a share of TV revenue to see
And being known as the sleep deprived jet lagged doormats
Whose chance to regain football fame would be near squat.

Biden and McConnell Both Are No Longer Fit to Remain In Office

In the movie Deliverance, we all enjoyed the “Dueling Banjos” song
In the Swamp we have had to endure the “Dueling Impairments” showing something’s wrong

Two octogenarians, one a Blue at 80 the other a Red at 81
Both whose days of past feats clearly done
The cranial synapses no longer seem to smoothly run
The       The extent of cognitive impairment for both should all of us stun
We all know that the press save for Fox, the New York Post and the WSJ
Is usu    Dailly leftist anti-Red attacks 24/7 on display

To a man and a woman they are a very biased lot

But unlike Medusa, snakes instead of hair they have not

Mitch McConnell was before them their questions to take

When once again his cranial neurons hit the brakes
He looked like he had turned into stone looking at their gaze

For a few minutes he looked like a man standing in a coma in a massive daze

Something in his 81 year old brain is obviously not quite right

Compared at that moment to Biden, Biden seems somewhat bright

Biden almost daily reveals he is not completely there

Such a tottering old man so frail he can barely lift his beach chair

Unlike McConnell whose lapses are not yet that frequent
And after a stone like freeze it comes and soon went

Biden’s are not far and few between
But almost every time there is not a teleprompter on scene

Neither of them to the travesty of remaining in office seem fit

None of their respective party heavyweights or family have the spine to say, “It’s time to quit.”

Messner Is Like the Dog Who Bites the Hand That Fed Him As He Seeks To Ban Trump From New Hampshire Primary Ballot

For Trump attempts by the left to derail his election quest have become the norm
From politicized AG’s and due to DOJ’s Lady Justice’s blind fold having been ripped and torn
But today we learn of a new effort to his candidacy derail
And with it the presumption of innocence to assail
In a classic case of biting the hand that fed your endorsement plate
Trump’s endorsement of Corky Messner in his Senate primary race a win did create
But in the general did not give Messner against Shaheen a needed boost
She won in a landslide as Trump’s negatives with Indies came home to roost
Now he appears to be trying to ban Trump from the New Hampshire ballot due to the 14th  Amendment
That bans anyone who has “engaged in insurrection or rebellion” against the U.S. from being to the Oval Office sent
Trump has been indicted by special counsel Smith on charges set forth in a lengthy list
But insurrection or rebellion as one of the charges does not exist
And even if added to the politicized indictments the investigations for which started after he elected to run
Messner must have forgotten the basic pillar of innocent until proven guilty or chose to it shun
To Messner and all the leftist pundits and pseudo journalists a news flash
Just because his name is Trump, the presumption of innocence is not to be bashed.
Pence on Trump’s wishes not to the electors’ vote certify
Refused and in any race can hold his head up high
But Messner with his attempted 14th Amendment stunt
Will be forever rejected by Reds in any future election hunt

Hurrican Idalia Makes Landfall This Morning As a CAT 3 Hurricane With 125 m.p.h Winds and Storm Surges Up To 16 Feet

In naming Hurricanes the weather forecasters just move down the alphabet
Idalia was picked for the first hurricane of the season to win the most misnamed bet
From the Greek the name means “look toward the Sun”
No longer to be seen in the Sunshine State as the torrential rains and storm surge have begun
Making landfall in Florida’s sparsely populated area known as the Big Bend
First time ever to that area would the weather gods a CAT 3 Hurricane send
Winds gusting at 125 miles per hour
250,000 and climbing now without  power
With the Blue Moon’s pull and winds’ push the storm surge as high as 16 feet
Severe flooding in the path of the surge will many homes meet
In a parting shot to show De Santis that against nature he is not the boss
A tree near the Governor’s Mansion was blown over but no lives lost
The evacuation orders issued by De Santis have been heeded to a tee
So far only 2 Idalia related deaths are there for us to see

August 29, 2023 Ridley's Believe It Or Not

On the 2024 election front, the power of TV and the hurdles to appear imposed by the RNC became evident as Mayor of Miami Richard Suarez who did not jump over those hurdles and was banned from the first primary debate stage became the first announced Red candidate to withdraw. As a Latino who has railed against Blues for pushing policies that run counter to many Latino’s core values, the candidates still in the race should pedal to the metal to try to get his endorsement. Vivek Ramaswamy at the Iowa State Fair thrilled fairgoers with his rendition of Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” which did not thrill the rapper who had BMI send Ramaswamy a “cease and desist” letter, prompting outrage from some conservatives.
On the weather front Tropical Storm Idalia has strengthened to a CAT 1 Hurricane some 275  miles south south west of Tampa at 11 A.M. EDT, moving at 14 miles an hour with an early Wednesday morning  expected landfall as a CAT 3 Hurricane in the Big Bend Area of Florida bringing with it storm surges of 10-15 feet as a King Tide will coincide with its landfall. De Santis has mobilized 3000 Florida National Guardsmen with another 1800 enroute and 30,000 utility workers on positioning to address  power outages as they occur. 21 counties have received evacuation orders, 9 of which are mandatory for low lying portions thereof, the two largest airports in the impacted area are now closed, the planes are being moved from MacDill Air Force Base and the Governor of South Carolina has declared an emergency.
On the Transgenders in sports front, the White House is refusing to take a stand as it claims the issue is “complicated” bowing to the radical left that feel banning biological males who identify as woman must be allowed to compete though their muscle mass size and organ size destroy a level playing field. A solution would be that there is a transgender female and transgender male class which would draw next to zero fans and would be unsustainable.
On the transgenders in education front, the Spreckels Union School District in Monterey County, CA transitioned an 11 year old female student Alicia Konen without informing her mother who when she discovered what was happening, sued the school district. Alicia has since detransitioned back to being a little girl and her mother is the recipient of a $100,000 settlement.
On the Biden lack of empathy front, a House committee heard testimony on the Afghanistan withdrawal which included some Gold Star Parents of the 13 American Military service personnel that were killed at the Kabul Airport by a suicide bomber and they launched into Biden like there was no tomorrow especially at Andrews Airforce Base where the 13 coffins landed and Biden glancing down at his watch as if hoping the ceremony would soon be over.
On the public school education front test scores have been falling across the nation despite the fact that we spend more per pupil than almost any other nation. But news coming out of Oklahoma alerts us to the fact that our school transportation system may be in shambles as a 5 year old was dropped off at the wrong stop and when the mother went to the designated stop no child and a driver who ignored protocol that requires a drive to check backpack or lanyard that matches the name and stop. She was reunited but not before on Tik Tok the boy was caught on camera knocking on a door in 105 degree crying and asking for help to find his mother.
On the Biden bribery scandal front, in response to FOIA lawsuit filed by the Southeastern Legal Foundation against the National Archives and Records Administration (“NARA”), NARA has indicated it possesses 5,000 emails from or to Biden s pseudonym accounts as Vice President--robinware456@gmail.com, JRBWare@gmail.com and Robert.L.Peters@pci.gov (Reds can hardly wait to get their hands on them.
On the hunting front, for individuals hunting for alligators in Mississippi on the Yazoo River with rods and reels hooked a huge male alligator 14’3” long and weighing 803 pounds which took them 7 hours to land on their boat which had to be reasonably large and equipped with a lifting crane.
Definitely a lot of material for belts, purses and shoes:

Noted Holidays: National Sarcoidosis Awareness Day: Created  on August 4, 1990 by the House of Representatives, the Senate on October 17, 1990 and President George W. Bush on October 31,1990 to promote awareness of a rare autoimmune disease that affects 20-50 people per 100,000 of whom infected 5 to 10 percent die. Very difficult to diagnose as it has a myriad of symptoms but not curable but treatable.
Word of the Day: The word of the day is “athetosis” which means a nervous twitching of digits and extremities.
Song of the Day: The number 1 song on this day in 2002 was  “Dilemma” by Nelly feat Kelly Rowland on  run of 10  weeks noncontinuous  to share number 1 status with 8 other songs achieving number 1 ranking while 5 acts, including Nelly and Kelly Rowland achieved  number one status for the first time as did Eminem with ”Lose Yourself” which Vivek Ramaswamy was rapping to at the Iowa State Fair to be hit with a cease and desist letter by BMI.  Here is a music video with lyrics of Nelly feat. With Biden the Gaffes and Cognitive Impairment Signs Never End

With Biden the embellishments and lies seem never to stop
From the fictitious encounter as a pool guard with gang member Corn Pop
To the latest Hawaii lies with the survivors of the Lahaina fires
Regaling them with a minor kitchen fire that embellishing it never seems to tire
Instead of sympathy for the almost lost cat, wife and Vette
Only scorn for a failed memory that can only lie and forget
To the latest sign cognitive failure that is so impossible to ignore
Claiming he convinced Strom Thurmond to vote for the Civil Rights Act of 1964
After the longest filibuster on record with a cloture vote to end the debate
Thurmond’s vote was not yes or abstain but a vote to the bill negate
Our ship of state is sailing in perilous times both here and beyond our shores
We must not elect a cognitively impaired Biden whose brain functions we cannot restore

August 28, 2023 Ridley' Believe It Or Not

On the Medical front, the CDC has just alerted us to a new  health problems that is spreading in Virginia commonly known as the “tik bite meat allergy” where the lone star tick which is prevalent in the Commonwealth and transmits a sugar molecule Alpha-gal from its saliva when biting a person which will cause severe allergic reactions even death when a person eats meats high in fat like pork, beef, venison, lamb or rabbit or consumes products made from mammals like some protein powders, gelatin and dairy products. Bad news for those human carnivores that love a juicy steak but a great slogan to promote the vegan lifestyle—“Go Vegan to avoid AGS and its allergic reactions causing great bodily distress.
On the election obstruction front, D.C. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan, an Obama appointee who had a proclivity for sentencing 1/6 defendants to prison terms often exceeding the terms sought by the DOJ or imposing jail when probation was suggested, over strenuous objections of Trump’s lawyers has set a trial date of March 6, 2024 which with its 4-6 week estimated length will severely adversely affect Trump’s ability to campaign. Sadly what we are seeing in America is a rush to judgment that was motivated by the fact that Trump announced he would be a candidate—a stain on this election.
On the L.A. homeless front, hotel workers represented by Unite Here Local Union 11 are on strike and the union is pushing its plan to require hotels and motels to house the homeless ignoring the fact the Los Angeles City Council rejected a proposal requiring hotels and motels to provide lists by 2:00 P.M. of vacant rooms so they can be rented to homeless with vouchers. The Center for Union facts has launched an ad campaign pushing against the plan, rightfully claiming it exposes both guests and workers to increased risks in dealing with mental illness, drug use, sanitary and criminal activity issues.
On the weather front Tropical Storm Idalia, 50 miles west of Cuba is gathering strength and is projected to be upgraded to a CAT 1 Hurricane Monday evening and when it makes landfall projected north of Tampa it will be a CAT 3 bring with it a storm surge of 11 feet, prompting Governor De Santis to increase the state of emergency declaration from 33 counties to 46 and to order mandatory evacuations of low-lying areas in 5 counties  with a decision on evacuating  parts of Tampa expected soon. Tampa’s airport will be closed to all incoming and outgoing flights early Tuesday morning.
On the crime front at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the campus was locked down for hours after report of a shooting; a faculty member was discovered to have been killed and an as of yet suspect has been taken into custody and the lockdown ended. In Chicago Lori Lightfoot clone Brandon Johnson is receiving a lot of flak for his law suits against KIA and Hyundai for the car crimes committed in Chicago due to a lack of proper anti-theft devices on the cars made by them. A judge has ruled that the father who signed an application for his then minor son in December of 2019 to obtain a FOID so he could legally own a firearm and is being charged with 7 counts of reckless conduct since his now adult son shot and killed 7 people on July 4, 2022 in Highland Park, Illinois.
On the sports front, Luis Rubiales the president of the Spanish FIFA has refused to resign for planting an unwanted  kiss on the lips of Jenni Hermoso on the podium and grabbing his crotch in the stands near children and has been blasted by the coach for his antics placing a cloud on the Spanish women’s first World Cup Championship. Rubiales still has the support of his mother who has announced a hunger strike until the calls for resignation cease.
On the entertainment front 76 year old Elton John fell in his home in France to be taken to the hospital as a precaution and then soon released. Dolly Parton in London promoting her new album had to turn down an invitation from Kate Middleton for tea because of promotion commitments.
Finally on the Woke front, after receiving  the “Breakout Creator" award at The 2023 Streamy Awards, Dylan Mulvaney slammed Bud Light for not supporting her and those boycotting Bud Light as transphobics spewing hate. In Feces City California Reems, an Arab bakery, refuses to serve police officers in uniform armed with guns which they are required to carry when on duty (it’s a shame the SFPD Union cannot post on social media the message they do not respond to 911 calls from this Woke establishment.

Noted Holidays: Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day: Created this day in 2015 by Deborah Barnes, the author of Purr Prints of the Heart: A Cat's Tale of Life, Death, and Beyond, a story of her loss on this day in 2013 of her pet cat Mr. Jazz through his eyes to help pet owners deal with the loss of a loved pet.
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
              Author unknown...
Word of the Day: The word of the day is “athetesis” which means rejecting a passage because it is spurious which describes the proper response to a large amount of the social media hype and claims from the left.
Song of the Day: The number 1 song on this day in 2003 was  “Crazy in Love” by Beyoncé and Jay-Z on  run of 8  weeks to share number 1 status with 10 other songs achieving number 1 ranking while 10 acts, including Beyoncé achieved  number one status for the first time. An accurate understanding of what those brave marchers demanded a half-century ago can only lead to the conclusion that their work remains incomplete and should inspire every American to continue their journey to move this nation closer to fairness and equality for all.

On the Political front Haley is warning fellow Reds despite their support for Trump in the primaries, the multiple indictments will hobble him and Indies that are absolutely essential for him to win and he will lose in the general election. Worse given his physical and mental frailty, Biden really is a shill for a Harris Presidency as he will not be able to serve his full term.
On the medical front, COVID-19 cases with a new variant are on the rise and hospitals are reinstituting their mask mandates.
On the weather front Tropical Storm Idalia, 80 miles off the coast of the Mexican island of Cozumel in the Caribbean is growing in strength and should be a CAT 2 Hurricane on Tuesday before if makes landfall on Wednesday near Tampa to temporarily erase Florida’s nickname as the Sunshine State.              On the crime front in Washington, D.C. a 16 year old was arrested for allegedly committing 3 armed carjackings, 7 armed robberies and 1 kidnapping in a 26 hour period. Ex-Navy Seal Member of Team 6 Robert J. O’Neill, who is best known for his claim to be the Seal that killed Osama bin Laden, was arrested for a misdemeanor assault and public intoxication in Frisco, Texas.
On the sports front, San Diego Third Baseman Manny Macho popped out with two men on base as the Padres were rallying back from a 3 run deficit to walk back to the dugout with his bat and destroy the watercoolers there in a frenzy. 26 year old Simone Biles at the U.S. Gymnastics Championships in San Jose won the All-Around Title for the 8th time setting the record for the oldest gymnast to win and breaking Alfred Jochim’s record of 7 set in 1933.
On the entertainment/extortion front the producers of the Blind Side effectively blocked Michael Oher’s blitz that the Tuohy Family received millions from the movie by stating the Tuohy Family, including Michael Oher, received some $767,000. Oher had recently demanded the Tuohy’s pay him $15 million or he would file negative stories about them. Condolences to Sandra Bullock who played Leigh-Ann Tuohy in the movie and received an Oscar who has been swept into this brouhaha while losing the love of her life to ALS and has heard the idiotic demands that she return her Oscar because of the false allegations of the Tuohy’s misconduct.

Quote on the Kellogg-Briand Peace Pact by Political scientists Julie Bunck and Michael Fowler in 2018 Who Argued That the Pact Was: “….an important early venture in multilateralism. ... International law evolved to circumscribe the use of armed force with legal restrictions. The forcible acquisition of territory by conquest became illegitimate and individual criminal liability might attach to those who pursued it. In criminalizing war Kellogg–Briand played a role in the development of a new norm of behavior in international relations, a norm that continues to play a role in our current international order.”

Haley Urges Reds to End There Support of Trump--If He Runs Biden Will Win As a Shill For Harris Who Will Quickly Occupy the White House

Nikki Haley’s political observations hit the nail squarely on its head
Mired in 4 indictments to be hobbled on the campaign, it is time to support for him shed
She served under him and acclaims his accomplishments
But she knows the indictment clouds will cause Indies’ votes for him not to be sent
The charges are clearly the result of politicized AG’s and the DOJ
Who will do anything to insure from any chance to win Trump is sent away
They will not need any trials to achieve their political goal to prevent a Trump win
And even if a trial and acquittal they will advance “he needed to  prove his innocence” spin
More so than ever the Reds must this election win both presidency and down ballot races
Ere with liberal justices from District Court to SCOTUS will be put in place
Given Biden’s age and quickly fading cognitive skills
He will not full serve his term as a Harris Presidency shill
Harris has proven the Peter Principle in spades
A disaster as VP, she does not deserve a political upgrade
Voters who stick with Trump in the primary to put him over the top
In the general will be like lemmings rushing over the political cliff to their deaths drop

The good news out of Maui is that the death count has not moved from 115 and 95% of Lahaina has been searched for bodies. Still a terrible tragedy that is going to take some time for the island economy to recover but at least in the resort areas not affected by the fires have 500 or so FEMA personnel staying there at around $1000 a night. With homes destroyed, business destroyed, and no tourist in their right mind wanting to visit the area, many Lahaina residents are frustrated, angry and out of money.
On the medical front, astute gamblers know the House always wins but in addition to rolling snake eyes, the House at the tables is dealing Legionnaires’ Disease in Las Vegas, 2 cases at Caesar’s and 1 at the Orleans Hotel and Casino. In Sonoma, the grueling Mudder’s Race, 22 contestants broke into rashes of painful pus filled spots, fever and fatigue indicating possible infection by the aeromonas bacterium which fortunately is not contagious.
On the eco-front disturbing news as many states in an attempt to reduce plastic contamination of our waterways and oceans have banned plastic straws and replaced them with paper. Well-intentioned but a new study reveals that 90 % of the paper straws contain very toxic “forever chemicals” that degrade so very slowly they are called “forever”. But the good news for those wanting to preserve our fragile and assaulted environment, they should know if you use a permanent stainless steel straw, no “forever chemicals.”
College football returns this Saturday which may mark the end of the PAC 12 that loses this year USC and UCLA who had earlier indicating they were leaving and now joined in departure by the two Arizona schools, Utah, Oregon, Colorado and Washington. With Name, Image and Likeness putting huge dollars into college athletes pockets and athletic departments thirsty for TV revenues, any conference that does not generate huge ad revenue for the networks is going to be doomed. Texas and Oklahoma who are paying a combined $100 million to leave the Big 12 to join the SEC in 2024 are not leaving on warm and fuzzy terms as Texas’ logo and motto is “Seize the Hate” which has gotten a lot of flak on social media. In the game between San Jose State and USC, the Spartans increased their scoring by 21 points over last year’s loss of 30-7 but USC increased its scoring to win 58-28 (if Troy Taylor was watching he must be feeling a world of concern on how to slow down USC’s scoring machine).
On the crime front, at a Dollar General Store in Jacksonville, Florida, an unnamed man wearing a tactical vest with an AR-15 entered the store and killed 3 black shoppers in what appears to be a racially motivated attack, based on social media posts, that ended when the shooter shot himself to death. Friday Night High School Football is supposed to be Friday Night Lights not Friday Night Gunfights as during the 3rd quarter of a game at Choctaw, Oklahoma gunfire broke out killing one student and wounding 4. No suspect has yet been named.
More than any other tweeter Biden needs a fact checker before he unleashes his gaffes and exaggerations onto the internet as the Biden Gospel as he proudly announced that due to his efforts renewable green energy was powering 81% of our power grid when the unmistakable fact is that the figure is only 20% of our power grid powered by renewable green energy.

August 25. 2023 Ridley's Believe It Or Not

Biden was slammed by De Santis during the debate for his lack of empathy “no, no comment” is being excoriated by Maui residents for his it’s all about me moment when he met with some burnt out survivors some of whom had loved ones missing or feared dead as he repeated that behavior he exhibited when he talked about Beau’s death when he met with the loved ones of the  U.S. 13 Armed forces killed by a suicide bomber at the Kabul Airport during his botched Afghanistan withdrawal. Only difference here was he was conflating a minor kitchen fire started by lightning that was confined to the kitchen and quickly put out and lied that he almost lost his cat and Corvette along with his wife. That empathy lack prompted this sign for anyone in Maui to see:

On the Hunter Biden scandal front, former fired Ukraine Prosecutor Viktor  Shokin who had been hired to investigate Burisma, is reiterating claims that he was fired due to pressure by Joe Biden who has previous bragged Ukraine was not going to get a dime of U.S. unless he was fired. He was investigating Burisma corruption which he felt would lead to corruption by Hunter Biden and Devon Archer. When will Biden acknowledge reality and stop claiming his son has done nothing wrong and he had no involvement or benefit from his son’s business dealings?
On the medical front the cause of Bronny James sudden cardiac arrest while at practice for the USC Basketball team has been diagnosed as caused by a congenital heart defect which is treatable and being treated will enable Le Bron’s soon to return in the not too distant future to the basketball court.               On the political front, Patricia Krentcil, the “Tan Mom” who was subject to a viral arrest for taking her 5 year old to and tanning salon and who looks like the poster child for how to get melanoma from excessive exposure to the Sun without sun block is running for the Senate against incumbent Rick Scott in the Republican Primary.
On the political front, Trump’s mugshot has caused the left to go lose it totally calling it the face of Medusa who if you gazed at her would be turned into stone while others claiming it looked like Stalin after be arrested by Tsarist police or Pablo Escobar, noted drug cartel leaders. The more over the top the leftist media go the more credibility they will lose if they have any left.

Noted Holidays: Instant Ramen Day: Celebrating the release of the first instant ramen product, a chicken ramen, by Momofuku Ando and his company Nissin on this day in 1958—cheap, quick and easy to prepare but beware loaded with sodium in the sauce packet. Biden's Alcohol Czar Is Leaning to Aping Canada to Recommend Men Only Drink 2 Alcoholic Drinks a Week

Reagan’s view of the government’s view of the economy hit the nail on its head
“If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.”
The left’s view of the economy tracts that Reagan quote but more control it has not shed
In Biden’s view “If people enjoy, tax it. If people still enjoy, regulate it. If not in their best interests though enjoyed make them quit
It seems like only yesterday to the diabetes and obesity dragon to slay
Mayor Bloomberg limited the size of sugary sodas to 16 ounce cups
Residents of the Big Apple were outraged a mayor would take their Big Gulps away
The courts stepped in and ruled NYC Board of Health had exceeded its authority before sugar craving riots could erupt
When it comes to regulating behavior the left’s memory is way too short
Must have forgotten the ill-fated Prohibition experiment
Where thirsty Americans to bootleg spirits by the millions would resort
While from the likes of Capone millions of dollars in bribes were to pols and cops sent
Now Biden’s alcohol czar George Koob of the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism
Is leaning toward recommendations that will limit men to two alcohol drinks a week
Which should lead to between the elite out of touch and the mere mortals further schism
Only a recommendation now but never underestimate the goal of government to further control seek
At a time due to COVID past shutdowns and limitations on the number of people in restaurants and bars
The industry is slowly back to pre-pandemic levels starting to rally
But the business lost means the road to wealth recovery is still very far
And any move to limit drinks to 2 a week will only add to the failed restaurants and bars tally.

Maui Residents Not Impressed With Biden Lies Trying to Conflate a Kitchen Fire With Loss of Life and Homes in Lanai

When it comes to empathy Biden’s tank is empty, bone dry
But when it comes to embellishments it’s filled to the brim, overflowing with repeated lies
After photo ops of Biden and Jill under umbrellas at the sandy shore
While Lanai was burning to the ground created image of a callous man who human suffering ignores
Image further enhanced while heading to Marine 1
“No comment” on Maui fires that left us stunned
After taking flak from both sides
Could no longer at Steyer’s Lake Tahoe mansion could he hide
Flew to Maui to fly over the burnt rubble that was once historic Lanai
Then to assure officials on FEMA’s assistance they could rely
Then to meet with survivors of the disaster to show he was a president who cared
But instead turned it into an it’s all about me moment and an often repeated lie shared
He shared their pain because when a lightning bolt hit his home to cause a fire
He lied he almost lost his beloved Corvette, his cat and wife to the survivors inspire
The truth was the fire was to the kitchen confined and quickly extinguished
To compare it to losing lives and homes reveals his empty empathy tank not yet relinquished
How Maui residents reacted was best portrayed in a Maui business sign
Even in this Blue state many believe it is not seek reelection time

August 24 2023 Ridley's Believe It Or Not

8 dwarfs took the Republican Primary Debate stage last night Trumpless as Fox News which hosted it and moderated it had 12.8 million viewers in a sometime raucous and ad hominem event with Pence providing the only levity and humor when in response to a question of whether a candidate over 75 should take a cognitive test he joked that all members of Congress should be required to take one. Reagan’s 11th Commandment of not speaking ill will of a fellow Republican was shredded early and often with Pence reminding voters that the Presidency is complicated and not a place for on the job training (clear slam on Vivek Ramaswamy).  On the issue of supporting Trump if has been convicted  in the  Georgia or Washington, D.C. only Hutchison, the former governor of Arkansas said he would not, De Santis looked left and right to see who was saying yes before raising his hand and Ramaswamy, probably ignorant of the damage to Ford’s reelection chances due to his pardon of Nixon after he resigned, promised a full Trump pardon if elected. Not enough what they would do if elected, too much attacking each other and not enough explaining why their plans would better this nation.

On the political front, Trump presented himself in Atlanta to be arrested, booked , fingerprinted and have his mug shot taken at around 8:30 P.M.

This 6’3” 215 according to the jail scales fully dressed presidential candidate is not in any way overweight and looks like a coiled spring to unleash a world of election hurt on our cognitively impaired president. He spoke briefly to reporters before boarding Trump 1 on the tarmac, defiantly denying he had done anything wrong and blasted the indictments as pure election interference. His lawyers will be soon filing motions to oppose an October 23, 2023 trial date requested by the D.A. Fani Willis and to sever his trial from that of co-defendant Kenneth Cheeseboro and any other defendant who requests a speedy trial. (some on Fox’s legal panel suggested that Willis may be in for a rude surprise in Cheeseboro’s trial as it may reveal how weak the politically motivated charges really are). The House Committee on the Judiciary’s Republican members are outraged over Willis’ perceived political bias in charging Trump as she used the indictment as a fund raising tool and Chairman Jim Jordan has sent her a letter demanding by September 7, that her office deliver to the Committee  over all documentation of its use of federal funds, communications with the DOJ or its components, and any records of cooperation with officials of the executive branch in conjunction with their investigation and indictment of Trump.
On the need to have home schooling front, Melissa Rockensies, aged 32 and married with 3 children, was arrested Wednesday morning on charges she had carried on a months’ long sexual relationship with a 14 year old male student at Corona Arts & Sciences Academy in New York City, who after he left the school according to her had threatened to kill her if she didn’t pay him $5000. Randi Weingartner’s attack on De Santis’ policies on education have blown up in her face as teachers’ unions were blasted on the debate stage for locking down schools and abysmal test scores.
On the Antifa intimidation front, in a trial of two Rose City Antifa members assault on conservative activist Andrew Ngo that reeked of jury intimidation and resulted in acquittal. In a trial of 3 other members the judge awarded damages of $300,000 which most likely will be symbolic only as Antifa members usually are not gainfully employed in productive income producing occupations.
Finally on the transgender front some sanity as noted rocker Alice Cooper proclaims that transgenderism is a “passing fad” while warning of the dangers to women and girls that transgenders posing as females pose. He has been joined by two of his fellow shock rock peers  Paul Stanley of Kiss and Dee Snider of Twisted Sister who have raised skepticism of the transgender ideology with Stanley calling it a “sad and dangerous fad.”
On the Ukraine War, news out of Russia which can be taken with a grain of salt is that Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head the Wagner Group, a mercenary army, has died in a private jet crash. The cause of the crash is unknown but our military do not believe it was shot down by a surface to air missile but more likely an explosive device on board. If he was on the plane and now dead, it enhances the idea that anyone who fights or disagrees with Putin, does so at great risk to his life. The Ukraine counteroffensive that the   West placed such great hope is still advancing albeit slowed down significantly given the depth and lethality of Russian defenses.                                                                                On the local crime front at a restaurant Cooks Corner in Trabuco Canyon was having its Wednesday night spaghetti night but the antipasto that night was a dish of bullets and pellets as John Snelling a retired former sergeant with the Ventura PD involved in a pending divorce drove from Ohio, knowing his estranged wife would be there entered the restaurant and shot and wounded her and killing her female dining partner and continued shooting killing 2 more and wounding 5 more before deputies who had arrived in minutes shot and killed him.                                                                                                       August 24, 2023 Michael P.               Famous Quotes on the Assassination of John Lennon by George Carlin:
“Here's an interesting form of murder we came up with--assassination. You know what's interesting about assassination? Well, not only does it change those popularity polls in a big fucking hurry, but it's also interesting to notice who it is we assassinate. Did you ever notice who it is? Stop to think who it is we kill? It's always people who've told us to live together in harmony and try to love one another. Jesus, Gandhi, Lincoln, John Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Medgar Evers, Malcolm X, John Lennon, they all said, "Try to live together peacefully." BAM! Right in the fucking head. Apparently we're not ready for that.”
John Lennon: “I'm not afraid of death because I don't believe in it.

It's just getting out of one car, and into another.”
