August 3, 2023 Ridley's Believe It Or Not

Trump flew Trump 1 to Washington, D.C. to enter a plea of not guilty, exited the courtroom to proclaim it was a sad day for America and headed to Reagan International to fly back to New Jersey (not sure what if any conditions or restrictions were imposed by Obama appointed District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan, designated by Associated Press of the “harshest punisher” of the 11 1/6 cases who appeared before her, matching the DOJ’s recommended sentences in 4 cases, exceeding the DOJ’s recommended jail sentences in 3 cases and in 4 cases where the DOJ recommended no jail sending the violators to jail). John Bolton has joined the list of pundits commenting on the case that Smith had a strong case against Trump but an acquittal would be devastating to the country as it would embolden Trump to commit further illegal activity. Mike Pence capitalizing on Trump’s comment on Pence not doing what Trump had allegedly asked him to do on the election that he was “too honest” has capitalized on that comment in his fund raising attempts. Chris Christie best remembered during the RNC for his speech on HRC that had the delegates chatting to his rhetoric “Lock her up” has opined that Trump is morally responsible and claiming any Red candidate who has not attacked Trump for being indicted is really running for a spot in his administration but refused to opine if he believed Trump was criminally responsible. Will Hurd going through the motions of running for president opined that the arraignment is not about weaponization of the DOJ but rather that Trump refused to accept the outcome and Nikki Haley opined she wanted to focus on issues really important to this nation like China not whether we should be trying to put a 77 year old in prison. On our open border, the Pentagon pulls 1100 soldiers previously sent there while extending  the deployment of 400 and in a drop in the bucket display Biden sends 60 ICE agents. Portland awash in crime, homelessness and safety concerns has been shedding residents like a bad case of dandruff and is now the 6 largest city in terms of population lost in the nation.

Famous Quote on Competing by the Birthday Boy, Tom Brady:  “I think that at the start of a game, you're always playing to win, and then maybe if you're ahead late in the game, you start playing not to lose. The true competitors, though, are the ones who always play to win.
