Reflections on translation: Often, the idea that there can be a wide range of translations of one text doesn't occur to people - or that a translation could be bad, very bad, and unfaithful to the original.” Lydia Davis, noted American author, essayist and translator. C’est vrai, c’est vrai.

Ignore The Message Shoot The Messenger

Planned Parenthood has received in exchange for the massive funds to the Blues
The left playbook on how to deflect a scandal as disgust over the videos grew
According to its CEO sucking down 500 grand a year
Planned Parenthood is the victim of a concerted prolife smear
In a blatant false lie with a straight face she intones
The videos were doctored and edited but the sale of parts they cannot disown
She justifies the murders and the body parts sale
Due to mammograms and contraception any attempt to defund must fail
Life must be sacred at all stages and not viewed as merely another crop
What kind of a country are we if funding for these killers and farmers we will not stop

Black Lives Matter Unless A Black Pulls The Trigger

Black lives matter despite the fact that if blacks shoot blacks the President is MIA
He gets engaged only if the white police a black man slays
In Chicago 12 people shot and four died
A continuing wave of violence that sensibility defies
In the PC world the news accounts of the shooters’ race are left out
Ditto in other shooting no immigration status as illegal alien criminality mounts
In Chicago a grandmother and mother gunned down and an 11 month wounded but survived
Each day in the inner cities a prayer by blacks to praise starting another day alive
No outrage from the photo op president when the crime is black on black
When it comes to black lives killed by blacks an outrage he completely lacks
When it comes to a citizen killed by an illegal alien even if deported multiple times
Total silence due the problems created by his failure to keep out these slime
Worse the feds will not publish the status of illegals committing these murderous crimes
Worse again our CinC promotes the idea of a war on cops which surprise, surprise promotes in unsafe black neighborhoods an increase in crime

Defund the top Butcher

According to the butcher of almost 400,000 babies who will never take a breath outside the womb
Many harvested for fetal body parts, then discarded into the dumpster—no service, no urn, no tomb
The villain is not Planned Parenthood but those fanatics who took the concealed videos and the harvesting revealed
Ms. Richards who directs millions to the Blues on the hot seat before Congress as there are calls to their funding repeal
Women’s health is an issue that we all should have common ground
But harvesting fetal parts aborted many of us feel is barbaric and unsound
Planned Parenthood has on video been caught
Defying reality claims it was an anti abortion fanatic plot
As a human being watching the videos I want to puke
Ms. Richards merits no more taxpayer money and  the most severe humanity rebuke
The solution to this Soylent Green barbarism of Planned Parenthood is to do a Harry Reid traditions of the Senate kill
Take any Senate bill  passed, change it to an appropriation bill
Reconciliation only 51 votes and the filibuster cannot kill.
Planned Parenthood is a butcher and a contribution funding mechanism shill for the Blues
When do we when it comes to 500k a year salary to Ms. Richards thanks to us on your funding from us you are through

The New Triple Entente-Russia, Iran Syria?

To remove Assad or not that is the question due to his record of his own citizens to kill
If he is will ISIS takeover all and cause the overflowing to the butcher’s till?
We supported the removal of Khadifi who after Reagan’s response to us posed no threat
His death followed by four Americans in Benghazi we should regret
Mubark in Egypt was next followed by Morsi who to our values was a real threat
Thank God all the billions to the Egyptian military made them do the right thing as behind the scenes they believed we would call in our debt
Assad is about as evil as evil can be but is he to our security a threat?
Or is he with Russian and Iranian help the new ally against ISIS that we will in the future regret
When it comes to ISIS this administration is a boat without rudder or sails, without compass completely lost at sea
Feckless, without spine, without strategy, watch as Putin encroaches and from us our allies flee.
Having seen the pathetic negotiation skills in the Iranian deal
The Russian laughter they must have been working hard to conceal
Do not be surprised in the fight against ISIS Russia will be putting on the ground Russian boots
While our and the EU sanctions against Russia over Ukraine and Crimean he will in exchange render moot.

Work For D.A. On Long Island--No Heat

Sadly, we know there is a war on cops in their cars or walking the beat
We now find that on Long Island prosecutors cannot even own their own personal heat
Police officers may be the Thin Blue Line in the way of crime
But it is the prosecutors that are the ones causing the felons to do time
Felons sadly have fellow gang members, friends and even family
One would have to believe being sent up the river is something not taken kindly
The criminal world does not live by I am sorry I made mistake and want to serve my time
Rather putting me in prison shows no respect and is the equivalent of a death sentence war crime
Prosecutors make a fraction of what a private practice lawyer would make
Seems somewhat idiotic to burden them helpless to defend themselves if their lives are at stake
The District Attorney needs to clean his glasses and the 2nd Amendment heed
Preventing his prosecutors from owning handguns means he needs to it reread

Not Even Safe To Hillary's J.D. Was Safe--Keystone Kops

Another day, another email drip
Another poll, another more points slip
The only person she  and her husband can blame
Does not come with a right wing conspiracy name
She and she alone caused her mess
From the very beginning to her transparency suppress
The State Department when it comes to security rivals the Keystone Kops
The ball when it came to security for Hillary’s lawyer was by State completely dropped
We know that when it came to turning over all her official emails she has lied
When it comes to judgment with our security her actions proper judgment defies
If there was nothing damning to her position as Secretary of State
Or no evidence of quid pro quo for speech money Bill’s need would never sate
Or if the donations to the Foundation were only motivated by humanitarian goals
As opposed to foreign governments and favor seeking companies devoid of ethics’ souls
All she had to have done was to turn over the email server without deleting a single email
She consciously chose not to follow the correct path so her trust is gone forever and her campaign should fail.
Play not that well worn 90’s right wing and media conspiracy song
With your deception and lying in the White House you do not belong

Happily Howard at Starbucks

One of the great joys of a poetic life
Is that iambic and muse can lift us from our daily strife
Or since poets seem always want to reach out
Especially if from Alaska where nature’s wrath against humans can mount
Such a refreshment at a Starbucks to meet a couple on PCs in the sun
One with a website on faith and relationships that are the joys to with happiness run
Happily Howard typing away in the shade
While feet away Newport Beach Police are in a traffic stop parade
Faith and relationship and some very cool photos of leather shoes
Happily Howard.com, miss her message of faith and guarantee the warm emotions loss one will rue
Thank God that Starbucks has replaced the taverns as the places to meet
With the flow of ideas and emotions that most of us would want to greet

ACLU Attacking Religion Nothing New

The whole country is basking in the Papal glow of peace and harmony
An affirmation that something of eternal value for our souls comes from the Holy See
A government in Washington devoid of compromise
Civility in complete mortal demise
Almost immediately after his address, the head of the DNC
Accusing in essence Marco Rubio of being a Nazi
The Pope as Christians are being behead spoke of religious freedom’s need
Before the cameras went dark the ACLU turned a deaf ear to the message it did not heed
Slamming a Louisiana school district for allowing prayer boxes by students placed
Its unrelenting attack on persons with religious beliefs is a complete disgrace
This nation was founded on religious freedom and the values held dear
Strip them from our daily life should be a result we should all really fear

Spitting on Vets Deja Vu Even in England

I have always thought when it came to decorum and social reserve
The Brits represented the civility we should all want to preserve
Now our English cousins have shown they are from the PC virus not immune
You will not believe this but a uniformed member of the RAF was asked to leave a waiting room
Seeking medical help due to a chemical spill into his eyes
The PC police afraid other nonBrit cultures that like Brits this airman in their defense was prepared to die
That in the twisted mind of PC culture his uniform would offend
One can only shake one’s head and wonder will this nonsense ever end?
Maybe England like us has become a nation of completely thin and useless skins
Memories totally faded of the struggles and triumphs where we have been
Congealed into separate races, languages, values, or in England’s separate queens
Lemmings now all falling into the deadly, deep PC ravines

Hillary's Favorability Continues To Slide

Drip, drip, Hillary’s dishonesty rises and her credibility continues to slip
Her coronation hopes are losing their formerly iron grip
Now we have another last straw
Of her arrogance of believing she is above the law
900 emails relating of a subpoena of the House select committee on Libya and Benghazi she chose not to disclose
Hillary may not be listening but the bloom on her coronation is off the rose
More and more Americans have turned deaf to her right wing conspiracy song
Fewer and fewer people believe her claim she has done nothing wrong
Bill like all good loyal husbands has come to her defense and points blame
At the Reds and the media whose focus on the emails  has crippled her candidacy and her discussion of issues restrained
A classic case of the pot calling the kettle black by a man with ethics clearly third rate
With Bill being paid millions for speeches by companies seeking favors from State
Ironic that as we approach the ghosts and goblins on the streets of Halloween
Ghosts and Whispers the FBI is finding even though her server was to be wiped clean
Since Hillary has always viewed herself to be above the law the ghosts may reveal a lack of care
Whispers that may rise in volume drowning out the conspiracy song and the Clinton’s snare
More classified material, destroyed official emails and Quid pro quo for State favors
Lame “I am sorry” today too little, too late and may from indictment not save her
