Texas 25 Yard Buffer And We All Suffer

The news out of the Lone Star State should cause us all great concern
A cop buffer zone bill of 25 feet of cops being filmed should be spurned
The vast majority of cops are well trained and risk their lives to preserve and protect
But for the rare bad ones we need cell phone videos to detect
If Texas passes a law that imposes a 25 foot no video buffer
The First Amendment takes a beating; our rights will suffer
Taking a video while not interfering with an arrest
Should be allowed under any First Amendment test
Most cops like the idea of wearing body cams
To prevent the false claims of brutality shams
Bad idea; hope it does not pass but if it does the media will quickly file to overturn
Shades of Rodney King; when will the need for accountability lessons our politicians learn?
If someone had filmed the altercation between Darren Wilson and Michael Brown
Nights of rioting would not have occurred and parts of Ferguson would not have been burned down
