For
those of us in the Golden State watching business move out of this state in a
steady stream
To
in other less taxing venues to pursue their American Dream
It
comes with little surprise from the latest John Locke Foundation report
That
when it comes to fiscal and regulatory freedom California is falling way short
Talk
to any small business and bitter frustration will be expressed
As
attempts to prosper or expand are put under major duress
In
fiscal freedom we rank 49th and regulatory freedom dead last
Makes
you wonder if our days of growth and glory are must memories of our past
Since
companies and creators can always vote with their feet
No
wonder the best and brightest in our ranks deplete
What
is amazing is that Silicon Valley still is a magnet for new tech companies to
form
But
the day will come when to start a business here most entrepreneurs will scorn
On
great weather fiscal and regulatory burdens in the end will trump
Our
best and brightest will the idea of staying here ultimately dump
The
fiscal and regulatory burden is like trying to swim with a lead anchor wrapped around
your feet
No
wonder Texas and low burden states are waiting with open arms California
businesses to greet
As
long as the Blues have in essence a one party rule
Anyone
starting a business here should be viewed as a fool.
