On the DUI front, 46 year old James Cooper of Wilmington ran into a parked sedan used to block a street near Biden’s campaign headquarter where he was finishing up  meeting and will be charged with a DUI must at least must be happy he did not run into the heavy armor plated vehicle known as the “Beast”.
On the pro football front, the Chiefs snapped their 2 game losing streak with a 27-17 win over the Patriots with Taylor Swift watching her beau catch 5 passes for 28 yards. Tommy DeVito, the undrafted quarterback for the New York Giants who led them to 3 straight wins had the bubble burst against the New Orleans Saints losing 24-6 with most of his passing yards after the outcome was destined for the books. The Seahawks who normally lose to the Eagles were upset 20-17 on a 4th quarter TD by Lock which was followed soon thereafter by an interception to foil a FG attempt to send the game into overtime.
On Hamas Israeli War front, another day of heavy Israeli bombing which has caused according to Hamas 40 dead Palestinians as Netanyahu insists that such bombing and shell pressure will force Hamas to give up its remaining hostages when Hamas feels the more dead Palestinians the world sees, the greater pressure will be put on the U.S. to curtail or end its military support.
On the recall front, Quaker Oats is recalling a number of granola products over fears of salmonella contamination as what the company says is a preventative measure as no cases have yet to be reported.
As Nikki Haley seems to narrowing the gap between her and Trump, DeSantis  has lost the services of Jack Roe, the chief strategist of the Super Pac, “Never Back Down” that is backing DeSantis over an article in the New York Post that is highlighting the dissension and disagreement in De Santis’ campaign.

Noted Holidays: National Maple Syrup Day: Celebrating the perfect sweet topping to pancakes, French Toast, waffles or even over vanilla ice cream used Native Americans long before Pilgrims landed on our shores as a sweetener and during Colonial times as an inexpensive alternative to sugar given the Sugar Tax imposed on the Colonies by Great Britain but I am totally clueless as to who created this day.
Word of the Day: The word of the day as we continue with words starting with “b” is “boeotian” which means stupid or dull which sadly seems to describe too many of our politicians on both sides of the aisle whose synapses are coated with bias.
Song of the Day: Leaving the number 1 songs  on this day in 1940’s to come back to the number song in 2008 in the U.S.A.  was  “Live Your Life” by T.I. feat. Rihanna on a run of 1 week to share number 1 status with 13 other songs, while 7 acts, including Static Major who became the 7th artist to achieve a number one single posthumously, achieved their 1st number 1 single. Here is a music video of T.I. feat Rihanna performing “Live Your Life”:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koVHN6eO4Xg
December 17 Birthdays: “Multitasking to the Max”: celebrating the birthday on this day in 1961 of George Clooney in Lexington, Kentucky who has become an A-Rated actor, director, producer and screenwriter with 2 Academy Awards and in the select company of Walt Disney, Alfonso Cuarón Orozco, and Sir Kenneth Branagh as the only 4 people to be nominated for Academy Awards in 6 different categories. His latest directed film which debuts on Christmas Day is The Boys in the Boat chronicling the University of Washington’s  rowing team which earned a Gold in the 1936 Olympics. To his list of accolades the label entrepreneur should be added as the tequila company he co-founded with 2 other individuals, Casamigos, which was sold to a British liquor conglomerate Diageo for $1 billion dollars of which $233 million went into his pocket.
