Karen Bass was once a rising star among the Blues
Many were believing a Presidential or Gubernatorial bid in 2026 would ensue
She passed the DEI gender requirement test
As Mayor of the 2^nd largest city DEI goals in programs she stressed
In 2024  $300,154.69 and $11,724.71 in benefits she earned
A healthy pay check for someone MIA as the Palisades and Altadena burned.
A firm supporter of DEI goal in all agencies including the LAFD
n top positions women who met the gender and LBGTQ tests you will see
Kristine Larson,  a black lesbian, Chief of Diversity with $307,000 in pay
Infamous for blaming male victims if women firefighters did not have strength to carry them from a fire away
Kristina Kepner, lesbian Assistant Fire Chief $264,468 in pay
Kristine Crowley, fired Lesbian Head of the LAFD, who pushed DEI big time from her first day
She passed the firefighters’ exam in 1998 ranking in top 50 of 16,000 tests taken
But embroiled in a snit fit with Bass as to who on warnings and occurrence of the fires was mistaken
Crowley said Bass was warned of extreme fire dangers before the fires and before she left for Ghana to add to her political curriculum vitae
To in 2026 aid her as she onto the list of presidential or gubernatorial  hopefuls she makes her way
Bass eager to point the finger blame
For her absence as the fires broke out to be shamed
Never received advance notice was her claim
And added that Crowley had not completed an after action fire report that that causes and failings contained
So Bass fired Crowley and appointed recently retire Chief Deputy Ronnie Villanueva as interim  LAFD Chief
A veteran of 41 years at the LAFD--wonder if he was passed over for Crowley because he abstained from DEI beliefs
Harris must be both sighing relief as an marred Bass in the 2026 governor’s race would her a whole load of grief
