William and
Kate are expecting their third child in April while Harry and Meghan are
getting married in May
With all the
pomp and circumstance at Windsor Castle Cathedral a royal wedding will display
Meghan like
Kate must have swept the English people off their feet
Likewise too
a queen who has offered her at the Royal Christmas dinner a seat
History will
repeat itself in Churchillean tones
Any royal offspring
will follow Winston with a U.S. mother with a father closer to the throne
Like weddings
everywhere and why so many millennials elect to elope
William and Meghan have to navigate the wedding
list slippery slope
Here cost is
no expense but this wedding is more than vows exchanged—it is an affair of
state
Already on
the wedding list lottery a bit of protocol will soon await
Harry and
Meghan want to invite Barack and Michele
But not
Trump which might be viewed as a snub hard to dispel
Not sure
what the palace head of protocol at the Palace would say
Or whether
an invitation to Trump and Melania might be the order of the day
Only that
statecraft when it comes to wedding should never come into play
Love should
always trump statecraft and never let protocol get in the way
