Whenever
we mere humans think against the forces of nature we are on top
A
natural disaster quickly brings that thinking to a complete stop
The
Camp Fire in Northern California has risen to 71 kills
The
damages will be in the millions upon millions of bills
Miles
from the fire in Berkeley at Cal
Air
quality has cancelled Big Game at its locale
Thousands
of structures burnt to the ground
From
a fire days earlier growing by leaps and bounds
Trump
has arrived on scene to the destruction view
Hopefully
aid forthcoming and a hatchet buried with the ruling Blues
3000
miles to the East our largest city New York is brought to its transportation
knees
A
few inches of snow blockading workers trying to from the city to homes trying
to flee
DiBlasio
when it comes to fulfilling the basic duty of government to its citizens
protect
Is
like Nero fiddling while Rome burns and why New Yorkers him should reject
Unprepared
for even a white dusting of snow
Shiver
to think when in the winter the blizzards really grow
Disasters
take down haughty humans a notch
Force
us to reflect on our frailty then reach for two fingers of scotch
