The City of
Roses and site of many a micro brew
Dodged the
bullet from Antifa’s call to violence it spewed
Only 13
arrests, no one wounded or killed
Willamette River
better than a police line for parties to chill
But before
we pat ourselves on the back and jump for joy
The potential
violence of Antifa seething under the surface wanting to again deploy
Portland runs
the risk of being another Beirut but without the safety of a Green Line
As the
factors that unite us as Americans look more and more that they will unwind
Antifa was
there not to discuss or even try to with opposing views reason
In their universe
anyone supporting Trump is guilty of treason
If a man is
guilty of treason rules against violence no long apply
Duty to beat
or kill until with an anti-Trump view he complies
Antifa F*bombs
and fingers drown all chance to rationally debate
For Portland
a City of Roses violent clashes loom as its fate
