Thanks
to the Lobster Express from Maine that Anderson Seafood would donate

Lobster Fest that lobster lovers would their taste buds sate
A
feast of Maine lobsters in a never ending stream
A
day to raise funds on a sunny August on the Newport Beach Civic Green
Money
from Lobster Fest for charities that are all first rate
For
11 years the food and entertainment beyond any debate
Uber
and Lyft drivers were jumping for joy
All
you could eat and all the fine beer and wine to enjoy
A
great day for a poet to enjoy with a sirloin steak lover and non lobster fan
A
glimpse of why we Americans love to support great causes in this land
A
VIP upgrade was the only way to go
Never
ending steamed lobsters as stars of the show
Lines
were long but the volunteers were quick to spot
Those
with canes and bad knees that made standing hurt a lot
Pain
no more as one was encouraged to hobble back to retake one’s seat
To
enjoy yet more lobster morsels in drawn butter as a treat
A
day beyond compare, open wallets to charities share
Six
lobsters 90 % shell to be consumed by a poet by the end of the affair
Rabbit
statutes and concrete waves overlooking the real waves and setting sun
If
the rabbits could speak they would exclaim “Donors to Lobster Fest a job well
done”
