For Newsom Private School For His 4 Kids with in Class Learning Makes Him a Zoom Parent--Really?

Finally for Newsom the reality of a recall is closing in
Now trying to claim a right wing Red conspiracy spin
Reaching out trying to convince outraged parents he’s one of us
As the Blue adjunct of his party the teachers’ unions threw kids under the bus
Newsom goes on the liberal oasis CNN
Bemoans difficulty of being a Zoom parent trying to their sympathy win
Typical of his arrogance to assume the voters won’t learn the facts
His 4 kids are in private schools and since November in class learning they do not lack
Like Cuomo Newsom’s arrogance and ego place him from the voters out of touch
In his mind he can do not wrong, a living example of a flawless nonesuch
Explains why he and his wife could dine with a lobbyist at The French Laundry for his B-day bash
Bet over $400 per plate morsels they talked about how to have offered more campaign cash
His belief defies the reality of his EDD hit with tidal wave of unemployed crash
Forcing unemployed without benefits for weeks to see their dreams and security thrown out with the trash
The complaint list of homeless, illegal alien aid, crime, and deadly anti business views is long
On recall day even if replaced with a moderate Blue, his record should convince us he does not belong
No pity for Newsom who hopefully will make recall history
As second governor thrown out oblivious and believing it was a right wing mystery.

March 17, 2021 Ridley's Believe It Or Not St. Patrick's Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not March 17, 2021

CV World Cases: The CV pandemic across the planet continues the new year with cases now over 121 million at 121,596,795 with 516,542 new cases (a .43% increase) 20,859,047  which are active, 100,737,748 closed with 98,050,708 recoveries (97.33% and 97.33% yesterday) and 2,687,040 deaths (2.67% and 2.67% yesterday) to continue the trend of increased cases with increased recovery percentages and decreased death percentages with some plateaus.

CV USA Cases: Total cases now over 30 million at 30,263,597 with 94,494 new cases (a .31% increase) with 7,303,176 active cases of which 9,339 (.13% of active cases and back to daily decreases and a now a decrease now of 19,932 from a peak of 29,271 on December 31) are in serious or critical condition, 22,960,421 closures, 549,929 of which have been deaths (2.40% and 2.40% yesterday) and 22,410,492 of which have been recoveries (97.60% and 97.60% yesterday). Our death rate percentage continues to improve and after many months is now .27% lower than the world rate and now .14% lower than Canada which has the socialized type medicine Biden may well want to implement here but at least has approved 4 vaccines as opposed to our 3  and on a deaths per million population measurement on a steady climb to 1655 ranks behind Belgium (1942), UK (1847) which had passed us despite leading world in testing), Hungary (1807),  Italy (1712), and Bulgaria (1675) and only slightly worse than Portugal (1643), Spain (1556),  Mexico (1502), Peru (1482), France (1395), Sweden (1304) that never closed its economy down like we did but has recently been experiencing a steady rise in  deaths, Brazil (1322),  Poland (1270), Argentina (1188) Switzerland (1168), Chile (1138), and Bolivia (1018) and we have now conducted  383,290,011 tests (now at 1,153,192/M) compared to number 2 now France at  886,272/M) as we are conducting  more tests in number and on a per capital basis for all nations (other than those nations that contain small populations like Bahrain, Denmark,  Israel, Malta, Singapore and UAE) other than the U.K. which remains off the testing charts with tests at 1,581,087/M.

US Vaccinations: In the U.S. as of 3/17/2021 117 million doses have been given, 2.47 million per day in the last week (sounds impressive but if the rate does not increase it will take us now reduced to some 5 months to have 75% of the population vaccinated which many believe is necessary to develop herd immunity. In California 13,161,027 total doses have been given (74.7% of doses received to again remain below U.S. average of 76.6%), but with the pressure of a certain recall coming endangering Newsom, California has moved up from 42nd  to 38th out of 50 in terms of the percentage of doses administered as a percentage of doses delivered to the states and at 11.0% of its population fully vaccinated is still at 44th in terms of percentage of residents vaccinated. A long way to go to get herd immunity and lagging behind in terms of getting vaccines received into arms and percentage of population vaccinated compared to other states and a great reason to recall this inept governor.

Non CV Case News: Hypocrisy is alive and well with John Kerry, our Climate Czar, was photographed maskless reading a book  but not sucking down a cocktail  on a an American Airlines flight in clear violation of CDC mask wearing rules on planes (at least the carbon warrior  hypocrite was not on his family’s private jet); while Biden refuses to go to the Southern Border and refuses to listen to the warnings of the CBP that the surge in illegals and unaccompanied minors is a crisis, some officials are revealing to Fox that it is and the statistics of record illegal and unaccompanied minors bear them out; the NYT inanely allowed one of its “contributors” Damon Young of The Root to less than 24 hours after the shooter’s arrest play the racist card in describing the shootings by a “sex addicted” gunman who happened to be white; any advertiser with a brain in their head should be pulling ads from the Cack News Network as the purveyor of “fake news” and advocacy “journalism” has seen its ratings fall 47% among prime time viewers  aged 27-54 (wonder if hacks like Lemon, Tapper, Cuomo, Stelter and Ruhle in search of new employment can find journalism objectivity classes they either missed or slept through in college); Vanita Gupta, Biden’s nominee for Associate AG, has a father who owns businesses in Mexico that pay a minimum wage of $1.50 an hour as she advocates a federal minimum wage of $15 an hour; while Blues were quick to rally around inept Newsom after it became almost a certainty that enough signatures would be submitted to permit a recall, the MSM has been slower to get involved until now when Carter Evans of the Consistently Biased System asked a Newsom spokesman whether the Gavin Recall Movement has been hijacked by Reds (some statistics suggest 38% of the petition signers are Blues and Indies); backers of a recall effort for L.A. DA Gascon have formally started the process and have started the 160 day clock to obtain 580,000 signatures of registered voters to place a recall on the ballot https://recallgeorgegascon.com/; as Biden blames Trump for the exploding border crisis leave it to a political cartoonist to reveal the inanity and hypocrisy of Biden’s assertions: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/cartoons-slideshow.
Chicago Gun Violence: HeyJackass.com is back to show that through March 16, 2021,  gun violence involving mostly persons of color shooting persons of color in Chicago is alive and well with 596 persons shot of whom 108 have died.

As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, factoids of interest for this day in history, a musical link to “Chattanoogie Shoe Shine Boy “ by Red Foley,  the fact that you can enjoy Rabelaisian humor; and a quote from Charles River Associates on the Bay of Pigs Invasion, secure in the knowledge that if you want to send a gift for any memorable events like Mother’s Day, college graduations, birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. Please contact me for the details on the pricing.

          1. St. Patrick’s Day—commemorating the death of the Patron Saint of Ireland St. Patrick and the contributions of the Irish to our society, culture and history with some return of the celebrations that were victims of the CV lock downs last year and another year of delayed large St. Patrick’s Day Parades, including the one in New York City that was first held on this day in 1762.

          2. Take Down Tobacco National Day of Action—founded by Tobacco Free for Kids in 1996 and celebrated on the 3rd Wednesday in March to promote the end of smoking in teens which had been declining but is back on the rise again with the advent of e-cigarettes.

           3. 1950 Number One Song—the number 1 song in 1950 on this day with a run of 4 weeks in that position was “Chattanoogie Shoe Shine Boy” by Red Foley to share number 1 status with 11 other songs that year.  Here is a recording of “Chattanoogie Shoe Shine Boy” by Red Foley: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6QaW0a7DeM  Red was a country music singer and songwriter and one of the icons of developing country music after WWII and achieved fame as the first singer to achieve a million record sale gospel record. He died in his sleep at age 58 on September 19, 1968 of respiratory failure after an Opry concert.

          4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day as we end the “q’s” to start the “r’s” tomorrow is “Rabelaisian”  which means coarsely hilarious and probably describes humor that would run afoul of the PC warriors.

          5. To Dance the Life Away—celebrating the birth on this day in 1938 of the man who was considered to be the “most talented male dance ever” Rudolf Nureyev who is also noted as the first star ballet performer to defect from the Soviet Union. Openly gay and infected by HIV since 1984 he continued to perform as his prowess was not diminished until the early 90’s to finally die from AIDS on January 6, 1993 at the age of 54.

          On this day in:

          a. 1891 a ship truly misnamed for its passengers and crew, the SS Utopia collided with a moored British battleship in the Bay of Gibraltar, the HMS Anson and sank within 20 minutes, killing 562 of the 880 passengers and crew aboard her.

          b. 1960 President Eisenhower signed the National Security Council directive that would ultimately lead to the ill-fated Bay of Pigs Invasion after President Kennedy took office.

          c. 1968 as a result of U.S. Army testing of nerve gas at Skull Valley, Utah, 6,000 sheep were found dead and the event was memorialized in a movie starring and directed by George C. Scott, Rage.

          d. 1973 Sal Veda took a Pulitzer Prize winning photograph called “Burst of Joy” of released Vietnam War POW Lt. Col Robert Stirm meeting his wife and children at the Travis Air Force Base tarmac, racing across the tarmac after years of captivity.

          e. 1985 Richard Ramirez “The Night Stalker” committed the first of 2 of his crime spree 14 murders that terrified Los Angeles and the Bay Area until he was caught on August 31, 1985. He was tried, convicted and sentenced to death but managed to appeal his way to stays of execution until he died of B-Stage Lymphoma complications on June 7, 2013 sparing the state the cost of years of appeals as he avoided a date with the needle.

Reflections on the failing to provide air support and the failure of the Bay of Pigs Invasion: ““The former president is said to have asked Kennedy why air cover had been withdrawn, and Kennedy responded by expressing fear that the Soviets would “make trouble”[45] in Berlin. Eisenhower countered, “That is exactly the opposite of what would really happen.”[46] Eisenhower also prophetically told the president that "the failure of the Bay of Pigs will embolden the Soviets to do something that they would otherwise not do." Sure enough, the Soviets quickly formed the opinion that Kennedy was "too young, intellectual, not prepared well for decision making in crisis situations ... too intelligent and too weak." Kennedy's ability to conduct American foreign policy was understandably in question, and it would be eagerly put to the test by Khrushchev. Moreover, Fidel Castro remained”
― Charles River Editors, The Bay of Pigs Invasion:President Kennedy’s Failed Attempt to Overthrow Fidel Castro.

Bring Back Mr. Smith to Washington to Prevent End of Filibuster

Biden and his fellow Blues look more and more like they are prepared to govern alone
End the filibuster in the Senate to turn that august debating body into a Blue rubber stamp zone
Knowing that every two years new faces in the House and Senate appear
They are pushing through voting changes to insure a Red majority will never again appear
Mail in voting, no voter id, absentee ballots to be harvested, registration on election day
Millions of votes to be counted after polls close to give time for non in person voting after the election to results sway
Add the Swamp as a state and Puerto Rico and add Guam for icing on the electoral cake
Too bad voters did not see through the Bunker Biden noncandidacy campaign to see what was at stake
One party rule where minority party votes are not needed or sought
Will crumble this Republic and reduce it to overbearing governmental rot
Trying to some tradition of the Senate conserve
Some Blues speak of a talking filibuster needed to the right preserve
Shades of Mr. Smith Goes to Washington with James Stewart speaking until he falls
Or is it a filibuster relay that refreshed Senators step in when one is ready to hit the wall?
Not sure as details have to emerge but if we are to go down path of one party rule
Anyone who thinks that will not be a massive curtailment of liberty and prosperity is a total fool.

March 16.2021 Ridley's Believe It Or Not Freedom of Information Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not March 16, 2021

CV World Cases: The CV pandemic across the planet continues the new year with cases now over 121 million at 121,080,253 with 463,386 new cases (a .38% increase) 20,758,777  which are active, 100,321,476 closed with 97,644,088 recoveries (97.33% and 97.33% yesterday) and 2,677,388 deaths (2.67% and 2.67% yesterday) to continue the trend of increased cases with increased recovery percentages and decreased death percentages with some plateaus.

CV USA Cases: Total cases now over 30 million at 30,169,103 with 87,446 new cases (a .29% increase) with 7,288,968 active cases of which 9,342 (.13% of active cases and back to daily decreases and a now a decrease now of 19,929 from a peak of 29,271 on December 31) are in serious or critical condition, 22,880,135 closures, 548,645 of which have been deaths (2.40% and 2.41% yesterday) and 22,331,490 of which have been recoveries (97.60% and 97.59% yesterday). Our death rate percentage continues to improve and after many months is now .27% lower than the world rate and now .15% lower than Canada which has the socialized type medicine Biden may well want to implement here but at least has approved 4 vaccines as opposed to our 3  and on a deaths per million population measurement on a steady climb to 1651 ranks behind Belgium (1939), UK (1845) which had passed us despite leading world in testing), Hungary (1786),  Italy (1705), and Bulgaria (1660) and only slightly worse than Portugal (1642), Spain (1552),  Mexico (1501), Peru (1477), France (1395), Sweden (1299) that never closed its economy down like we did but has recently been experiencing a steady rise in  deaths, Brazil (1309),  Poland (1258), Argentina (1184) Switzerland (1166), Chile (1133), and Bolivia (1016) and we have now conducted  382,236,267 tests (now at 1,150,039/M) compared to number 2 now Spain at  886,272/M) as we are conducting  more tests in number and on a per capital basis for all nations (other than those nations that contain small populations like Bahrain, Denmark,  Israel, Malta, Singapore and UAE) other than the U.K. which remains off the testing charts with tests at 1,581,110/M.

US Vaccinations: In the U.S. as of 3/16/2021 111 million doses have been given, 2.44 million per day in the last week (sounds impressive but if the rate does not increase it will take us now reduced to some 5 months to have 75% of the population vaccinated which many believe is necessary to develop herd immunity. In California 12,686,451 total doses have been given (73.0% of doses received to again remain below U.S. average of 77.5%), but with the pressure of more than 1.95 million recall signatures have been turned in, California has moved up from 43rd to 42nd   out of 50 in terms of the percentage of doses administered as a percentage of doses delivered to the states and at 10.5% of its population fully vaccinated has moved up slightly to 44th in terms of percentage of residents vaccinated. A long way to go to get herd immunity and lagging behind in terms of getting vaccines received into arms and percentage of population vaccinated compared to other states and a great reason to recall this inept governor.

Non CV Case News: Harris on sexual harassment remains the Hypocrite in Chief when it comes to Blues like Cuomo as opposed to Reds like Kavanaugh as her lips remain sealed when it comes to Cuomo’s dalliance; 4 hours after the first attack on 3  Asian massage parlors targets target which killed 8 people, Robert Long has been arrested in Georgia; Tiger Woods who may have gotten a get out off a reckless driving charge is back in Florida working on rehab following his multiple leg injuries after driving from Palos Verdes; in another example of the proclivity of the MSM like WaPo to distort and lie, the quote from Donald Trump to Georgia election official to “find fraud” in the election which made its way up the ladder to be instrumental in the 2nd impeachment has been discovered to be a complete lie and distortion as the recording was found and recovered in the official’s computer trash file; Newsom accepting the inevitable that he will face a recall election, is using the Blue predictable race card, claiming the supporters of the petition are racists against Hispanics (people not getting unemployment because of his ineptness are outraged not because of the color of their skin but the thinness of their wallets due to being out of work due to his shut downs and no checks because of his EDD crashing; Biden has no plans to visit the Southern Border to see the chaos his executive orders and statements have created but at least is going to come out of his Oval Office bunker to hold a Press Conference on March 25 (lottery to hold would be to predict how large a screen for the teleprompter he will need to conceal his mental fadings); kiss the idea of assimilation at Columbia goodbye as the school announced separate graduation ceremonies for Blacks, Asians, Latinx, FLI (first generation graduation/low income and Lavendar (members of the LGBTIAQ+ community; backers of a recall effort for L.A. DA Gascon have formally started the process and have started the 160 day clock to obtain 580,000 signatures of registered voters to place a recall on the ballot https://recallgeorgegascon.com/; as Biden speaks of small gatherings for the 4th of July assuming we follow the CDC’s rules leave it to a political cartoonist to reveal how Biden is going to get us to follow his mask in public rules https://www.foxnews.com/politics/cartoons-slideshow.
Chicago Gun Violence: HeyJackass.com is back to show that through March 15, 2021,  gun violence involving mostly persons of color shooting persons of color in Chicago is alive and well with 591 persons shot of whom 108 have died.

As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, factoids of interest for this day in history, a musical link to “Cruising Down the River “ by Russ Morgan and His Orchestra with vocals by the Skylarks,  the fact that no one would ever consider calling you a quoz and a quote by William Calley after his conviction for mass murders at the Mai Lai Massacre, secure in the knowledge that if you want to send a gift for any memorable events like Mother’s Day, college graduations, birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. Please contact me for the details on the pricing.

          1. St. Urtho Day—created on this day in 1956 by Richard Matthison to celebrate the myth of St. Urtho who drove the toads later changed to locusts from Finland to protect the vineyards and celebrated in Minnesota and best celebrated by wearing royal purple and lime green and having a grasshopper to drink.

          2. Freedom of Information Day—founded by John Bohannon and celebrated on or near March 16, the anniversary of the birth of James Madison, regarded as the Father of the Constitution and a prime proponent for openness in government which has a proclivity for treating citizens like mushrooms, keeping them in the dark and covering them with cack.

           3. 1949 Number One Song—the number 1 song in 1949 on this day with a run of 9 weeks in that position was “Cruising Down the River)” by Russ Morgan and His Orchestra with the Skylarks as vocals to share number 1 status with 8 other songs that year.  Here is a recording of “Cruising Down the River” by Russ Morgan and His Orchestra with the Skylarks as vocals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCmAOqLMj_Q Russ was a big band leader during the 30’s and 40’s, had several TV shows during the 50’s. He often performed in hotels and in 1965 landed an 8 week contract at the Dunes in Las Vegas that lasted 12 years. His baton was taken away permanently at age 65 on August 7, 1969. The Skylarks were a singing group of 4 soldiers serving in the Panama Canal in 1942 who added two female singers after the war and performed background singing form many artists in the 50’s and 60’s and performed their farewell concert in the Hollywood Palladium in 1979.

         4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day as we end the “q’s” to start the “r’s” tomorrow is “quoz” which means an absurd thing or person which is well used when describing many of our politicians in office today.

          5. Cancer Thrives In Private Also—celebrating the birth on this day in 1912 of Pat Nixon First Lady under Richard Nixon who was a heavy smoker but never allowed herself to be seen smoking in public only to come down with lung cancer and die from it on June 22, 1993 at the age of 81 to be followed by a grieving Nixon after a marriage of 53 years some 10 months later.

          On this day in:

          a. 1968 in Mai Lai, South Vietnam, in a dark day for the American military, U.S. soldiers under the command of Lt. Calley massacred some 347-500 civilian old men, women, and children.

          b. 1984 the CIA Station Chief in Beirut, Lebanon, William Buckley was kidnapped by Hezbollah, tortured in captivity and then executed sometime in 1985.

          c. 1995 in a better late than never moment the State of Mississippi formally ratified the 13th Amendment abolishing slavery that had been ratified by the requisite number of states in 1865 and added to the Constitution.

          d. 2003 American activist Rachel Corrie was crushed by a bulldozer leveling a home in Rafah, Gaza Strip by an IDF armored bulldozer since the home was believed to have been used in smuggling weapons used against the Israelis.

          e. 2020 the Dow fell 12.93% its second largest percentage drop, losing 2997.10 points the largest point drop in its history as the CV pandemic was spreading and the Fed announced lowering its interest rate target to 0-.25%

Reflections on the Mai-Lai Massacre: “My troops were getting massacred and mauled by an enemy I couldn’t see, I couldn’t feel and I couldn’t touch—that nobody in the military system ever described them as anything other than Communism. They didn’t give it a race, they didn’t give it a sex, they didn’t give it an age. They never let me believe it was just a philosophy in a man’s mind. That was my enemy out there.” Lt. Calley’s statement to the court after being found guilty of mass murder.

Debt Relief for Non White Farmers But Not White When In Many Areas Whites Are Minorities Is Outrageous

The Emancipation proclamation and the 13th Amendment freed the slaves

But no compensation or land was given to from free slave status poverty save
Sherman’s attempt of 40 acres of land and later the loaning of a mule
Was overturned on the death of Lincoln and Johnson began to rule
Today the cry from the left for reparations has found a new disguised court
Billions for farmers if nonwhite to debt relief support
Giving government aid with race as the major or only test
Is an action so removed from equal protection we should all detest
At least the misguided former affirmative action appointments based on race were struck down
Forgiving debt of a non white farmer but not a white is morally and constitutionally unsound
Worse in many parts of this land whether counting illegals or not, whites are less than half
As illegal immigration and birth rate climb at rates exceeding whites on the population graphs
If the Biden Administration’s policy is to dole out dollars based on the color of one’s skin
This is a recipe for disaster as those who believe in meritocracy will never again win
Fail to reward the best and brightest will result in a country that is doomed to fail
Biden’s message hidden in the basement bunker was so concealed not being on campaign trail

Biden's Border Crisis Becoming A Real Crisis Not Just A Challenge

Biden still has not had a conference with the press
Must be due to his failing mind his handlers need from public view to suppress
Our ”Unity President” after inauguration almost right out of the gate
As vaccines created during Trump were rolling out to arms in wait
Claimed the credit, slammed Trump for his pandemic failures
And with Blue only support, a boondoggle disguised a COVID-19 relief cure
Signed into law while allowing schools to be by the teachers’ unions held hostage
Totally oblivious to suffering parents with kids wrath and outright rage
Now the idiocy of handcuffing not aliens but ICE and his amnesty plan
While an increasing tidal wave of illegals and unaccompanied minors are coming to this land
Like see no crisis, hear no crisis, speak no crisis monkeys
Discounts the flood of drugs and illegals as “challenges” as into nation they flow free
Biden’s handlers will soon turn this Mecca people want to enter into for its citizens a living Hell
No wonder by hiding out in a bunker and never letting Biden campaign they could disguise what they were going to sell
Maybe all sanity from the Blues has not evaporated completely yet
Senator Durbin astutely observes the surge of illegals means amnesty is a goal to forget.

As Newsom's Recall Moves to Reality Blues Claiming Right Wing Conspiracy Circle Wagons for Him

Across the nation Blues are finally starting to read the handwriting on the wall
In Bluest of the Blue states, Gruesome Newsom will be facing the state’s second only recall
Gray Davis who succeeded Wilson was the second governor to be recalled in this nation
The electricity brownouts, sky rocketing deficits caused by dot.com bust  trumped his campaign donations
An aloof governor who tried to pare the deficit growing by leaps and bounds with a car tax
Outraged vehicle loving and driving Californians to add fuel to the fire and give him the axe
Newsom’s problems are more severe caused by a pandemic and his shutdowns that flooded the unemployment lines
In charge of an unemployment compensation system that crashed and then to get checks out ran out of time
The Golden State became the State of Iron Pyrite
Homeless soaring, prisons emptied , schools failing and closed nothing he touched seemed right
But the icing on the cake of ineptness was his arrogance of do what I say not what I do
Touting falsely “We are all in this together” when it came to obeying lockdowns he was through
When mere mortals were confined to homes, he and wife were at the French Laundry not doing wash
But enjoying $400 a plates meals with a donor while our freedoms by lockdowns were being squashed
Blues are trying to frame the recall as a right wing attempt to Sacramento regain
Ignoring the facts quite clear and easy to see that it’s Newsom’s policies to blame
Recalling  Newsom to have a better direction may come to naught
His replacement may be another leftist Blue to continue the state’s increasing rot
