Ukraine is
engaged with Russia in a deadly test of wills
With Russian
tanks in Eastern Ukraine moving in for the kill
Do we aid the
Ukrainians with Javelins of the tank-killing kind?
That concept
has yet to have entered our CinC’s mind
No we are
stepping up our non lethal aid
As if the
Russians facing well fed Ukrainians will fade
This is not
a food fight with all manner of food flying through the air
No this is
real combat by the outgunned Ukrainians with Putin’s Bear
Crimea like
the Rhineland is lost and Eastern Ukraine like the Sudetenland is a near fait accompli
But all
Baltic Republics formerly part of the Bear have been NATO members since 2004.
Only a
question of time before Putin starts knocking on their doors
With over a
million ethnic Russians he has the perfect excuse to send in “volunteers”
Based on
past experience from Obama’s act and his cutting back the military, he has nothing
to fear
No one would
want to for the sake of the Baltic Republics die
But we are
duty bound to defend under NATO’s Article V.
Wars start
because one side sees a lack of resolve and believes an opponent will to demands accede
So far from
Obama, Putin has seen nothing that would cause him to recede
Dear God
give us two years and another Reagan-like or Kennedy-like President to find
Ere the world we know may into nuclear chaos completely
unwind
