We have
become so used to gridlock it almost seems a way of life
House and Senate
locked in never ending strife
Never before
have we seen such rancor and civility loss
No matter
the problem, bipartisanship gets the toss
Even the Supreme
Court has not been immune from the chasm of the left versus right divide
Too many
times its decisions are handed down in a five vote majority and four on the dissenting
side
Today the
Supreme Court ruled 9-0 in one voice
In a ruling
that all business will rejoice
Canning v. NLRB
held that Obama’s picks to the NLRB violated the law
His determination
of recess was totally flawed
When the
Senate states it is in session no matter how brief
An imperial
President cannot treat the Constitution as his personal fief
Businesses
will no longer be shaking in their boots
Facing a NLRB
with strong majority union roots
At least our
President quickly expressed disappointment and dismay
But in the
same breath his spokesmen indicated the ruling he would obey
But our
President still has his phone and he still has his pen
Hell bent to
change laws or not enforce them again and again
But this
decision is clearly a setback to an Imperial Presidency grab for power
Might even
embolden more Senate Blues to no longer in front of him cower
