I always
thought that NIMBYs were to be found only in places like Newport Beach
Where
intolerance and complaints to protect property values are within easy reach
NIMBYs cry
out to protect property values at all cost
Tar and feather
rehabs no matter how many lives lost
Protect the
beaches from the inland hordes seeking a fire pit
Close down
live entertainment--the complaints never quit
But now it
seems the dreaded NIMBY curse can in Kansas be found
Leawood
demands a nine year old’s free little library must be torn down
An eyesore? No,
nor a structure to cause property values to fall
But yes as
to an encouragement to get kids from video gaming in the Malls
Anything
that promotes reading is a very good thing
Demands by
NIMBY ideas are worse than a hornet’s sting
Welcome to
the NIMBY world nine year old Spence
Your Leawood
City Council has lost every ounce of common sense
Whatever you
do, do not in front of your home put a hammock or chair
The NIMBYs will
be soon snarling with all canine teeth bared
