Trying to
change a regime from the outside is a dangerous thought
Best intentions
even by the U.S. often go for naught
But Maliki
may be an exception as Iraq implodes
ISIS
marching on Baghdad and a Caliphate seeming to take hold
He may not
be as brutal as Hussein but against Sunnis and Kurds ruthless to his very core
With him the
egg has been broken and will be impossible to restore
We should
never be in the business of trying to nation build--an exercise doomed to fail
Especially
in a land of enmity of Shia, Sunnis and
Kurds how could we ever prevail?
But Maliki
cannot rule by dominating the Sunnis and Kurds
Trying to
support him with air strikes is completely absurd
Oil notwithstanding
preserving his rule is not worth a single American life or wound
Any attempt
to prop him up by military aid or boots on the ground is doomed
Time for
this inept leader to leave; time for him to go; coalition leaders to be in his
place
Or ISIS
should easily win the on to Baghdad race
If not
possible to find coalition leaders then perhaps time to take out the English
pen
Into the
scrap heap of history an artificial nation created to send
Land of the
Sunnis, Land of the Shia, and Land of the Kurds
Freed of Shia
oppression, ISIS by the Sunni tribes will be deterred.
