Slashing Epidemic In NYC

It may not be as bad as the gun wars in the Windy City

Where drug turf wars kill rivals and innocents without pity

But the Big Apple when it comes to gun violence also has its rotten criminal core

But now there is another crisis awaiting its residents and tourists as police try to safety restore

In the Big Apple, through the first month and a half of 2016

567 have been slashed or stabbed, a 20 percent increase the ending of stop and frisk we should have foreseen

Plastic surgeons have been kept busy and so far 12 victims have died

Random acts, without warning means one has to be very alert on the subway whom one sits beside

The old adage that only a fool would take only a knife to a gunfight in New York rings true

Law abiding residents should be allowed to pack heat in plain view

Good chance a stabber or slasher would have grave second thoughts

Knowing that there would be a great chance that by his or her victim,  the stabber or slasher would be shot
