In
a moving ceremony led by his priest son, Justice Scalia was laid to rest
A
judge of great intellect yet lacking personal diviseness all who knew him would
attest
A
lasting testimony that on issues men and women can disagree
While
not allowing personal animosity to run unchecked, to run free
The
man who promised hope and change and a people to unite
Sadly,
the most divisive president we have ever had was nowhere in sight
A
chance to put country ahead of politics as we face in Scalia’s replacement
another bitter fight
A
chance to try to mend fences and get out from under this partisanship, rabid
blight
A
photo op of Obama instead in the White House carrying binders of potential replacement
picks
Of
choices if any are confirmed who will for decades a shift to his left on this
nation stick.
No
great schedule conflicts of note but at least this president did not choose to
a round of golf play
Sulking
over the missed opportunity and knowing that even if there on TV his face would
not have been displayed.
