Once again
we have a case of an elected official holding himself above the law
The Attorney
General of the State of North Carolina believes recent legislation is flawed
He sworn in to
the duties of his office uphold
One of which
is to defend the laws or so I have been told
One can
argue that preventing local jurisdictions from passing anti-discrimination laws
against transgenders, lesbians and gays
Is a bad
idea, foolish, will harm the state and hope that with legal action that legislation
will be swept away
As predicted
gay rights advocates filed suit to the law overturn
The AG
Cooper is refusing to defend the state while his salary he will continue to
earn
The AG
Cooper is also refusing to resign which would show the courage of his
convictions
As a lawyer
he should know he has the obligation to defend his client the State without
restriction
Cooper
should be immediately impeached and out of office thrown
As an AG he
does not have the right what cases against the State he will disown
The State
Bar of North Carolina should against him disbarment proceedings commence
For failing
to provide to his client a proper and vigorous defense
