Senator Di Fi, at 89, has not indicated she will seek to run
again in 2024 to keep her seat
But many Blues believe her fading cognitive abilities would lead to her certain
defeat
Both Swalwell and Schiff earlier were hoping she would
resign before her term’s end
Avoid a certain primary fight with Newsom picking either one to the Swamp as
her replacement send
If she does not run but stays Porter and Schiff already in the race
May be joined by Swalwell and Bass and other sitting Rep Blues to Di-Fi replace
While birds cannot fly on only one wing
A Rep faces a barrier that to political aspirations will
bring
A Rep can only run in one primary race and must elect
A Senate seat or a Rep seat but one he or she must reject
Di-Fi’s seat in this Banana Republic is a safe senate seat that no Red could a
Blue replace
Doubt any Red in the primaries would get enough primary votes to be in second
place
All of the Blues with hats in the ring are worthy only of a negative vote
But Reds should hope that more Reps decide to join Porter and Schiff
More would from their House seats by a senate run be stiffed
