A bird cannot fly on one wing
A baseball pitcher cannot pitch if his UNL sufferers a major ding
Likewise too for a football QB whose passes will have no zing
With only soft 5 yard tosses no chance to victories bring
Purdy went down with what would latter prove to be a UNL tear
Replaced by veteran QB Jimmy Johnson whose skills were no longer
there
And soon in a collision a concussion to the head
The 49’ers could by him due to concussion protocols be led
With the only other QB on the sidelines with a foot broken
And the Eagles’ offense smokin’
Running back McCaffrey as QB tried to the position play
Dropped back and a perfect spiral to display
Only problem the intended receiver went the other way
Purdy came back to hand off in running plays
Like playing football before Knute Rockne and the forward pass
With run only even with McCaffrey bobbing and weaving dreams of a win could not
last
Post game the prognosis was worse
Purdy would have to head to Tommy John Surgery with a long post op rehab to the
damage reverse
Before Brock slips into a career ended despair
Know that Tommy John won more than ½ his wins after surgery on ULN tear
