In Houston after an armed robbery of patrons in a taqueria, robber did not walk out backwards and shot and killed by an armed patron

In Texas where more and more citizens are now choosing to be armed
To try to protect themselves from deadly harm
An armed robber in a Houston taqueria at gun point its customers robbed
Then fleeing the diner after completion of the job
A patron stood up from a booth he had  just passed
Drew his concealed handgun and shot him nine times with a shot to the head one of the last
Then grabbed the cash and returned it to the startled patrons and went out the door
Leaving a dead robber lying on the diners floor
Caught on camera inside and also next to his truck in the parking lot
Houston police now want to identify and talk to him why he shot
Had he shot the robber with the gun pointed at him or other diners while taking their cash
A successful claim of acting in self-defense with the dangers to him and them not passed
Unless it can be shown the gunman had the gun still in his hand and looking back
May be an issue for him to assert shooting as a self-defense to a feared attack
One thing is certain future attempted robbers with guns drawn
Will walk out backwards and shoot first on movement of patrons’ hands to avoid a trip to Forest Lawn
