Most fans when shelling out big dollars to see a sporting
event
want to see how many goals, runs, baskets, aces, and T.D.’s
to their eyes are sent
Not to advance a political narrative that has zero to do with a sport
Pushing fan woke on a team will cause many fans to watching or attending to
abort
No one should be upset that given closets in the past
Gays concealed their sexuality so their jobs and careers could last
So having Gay Pride Week and marches should not make straights aghast
Unless they are compelled or shamed to join instead of just being asked
During Gay Pride in NYC that venerable team the Rangers of New York
Changed their mind about Gay Pride Jerseys to the outrage bottle uncork
The gay community in an uproar was appalled
As if a gay player was wrongfully because he was gay body checked against a
rink wall
In seeking to redress the prior decades of repression the gays crossed the line
If we finally trash discrimination, tolerance must be the politically correct
party line
If one choses or identifies as a gay
Total outrage if an adult to get in the way
And likewise just as strong if we are forced to choose the gay path
Which will and should for a majority release the grapes of wrath
