In California it seems that innocent victims of gunfire are
becoming like games of Whack-A-Mo
First at Monterey Park Lunar Celebration dance hall where 72 year old Huu Can
Tran from Hemet elected to go
Shot 20 there, 10 of whom died on the spot and the 11th 2 days later
in an ICU hospital bed
May have been looking for his ex-wife divorced from him in 2005 and animosity
for that not shed
So left and 30 minutes later arrived at another dance hall in Alhambra looking
for more to slay
Only to be met by 26 year old Brandon Tsay nearby in his way
Who having never seen a real gun pounced on Tran
And with youth strength over age wrested it from his hand
Tran in a white van from the scene fled
To be found in a Torrance Del Amo Shopping Center shot by himself dead
Almost the same time of the news that the 11th
victim had bought the farm
Near Half Moon Bay at two separate farms news that 7 victims had met with
mortal harm
In a week for senior shooters, 67 year old Chunli Zhou a
worker at one of the farms surrendered to the cops
Giving us hope that the motive for the shootings will be learned to help future
shootings stop
Dance halls and a mushroom farm added to the soft target
lists
For those bent of deadly violence that they are unable to resist
