From shoe
bombs, to shoe knives, to bombs in one’s underwear
We face a
cat and mouse game to keep our planes from being destroyed or taken in midair
Even cell
phones, lap tops and tablets coming from overseas Homeland Security now fears
Can be
disguised as bombs so to a new policy we now must adhere
Cannot allow
a cell phone, lap top or tablet in a bomb disguise
So a word to
the traveling public wise
Device must
power up or it will be left on the tarmac
Another hoop
the traveling public must go through to get to the U.S. back
But if a
potential terrorist wants to do it the old fashioned way
The laws of
numbers and human attention come into play
Latest news
when the TSA is supposedly on alert most high
A man with a
criminal record managed to bring a loaded Glock aboard and off into the sky
Another man
with a knife not for cutting steaks to be used
But a weapon,
the possession of which may not be excused
Two
different Phoenix to London flights with the weapons remaining in carry on bags
But our
English cousins were more alert--on transferring to other flights the weapons were
snagged
No human is
perfect and to their credit daily the TSA claims 1.8 million screens
But a loaded
gun and a knife going through the X-ray should have been seen
What makes
this story unique is not the security lapse or the screener’s mistake
But rather
almost unheard of in the government, the action the TSA decided to take
The screener
was fired and is no longer with the TSA
Why not the
also officials cooking the books while Vets died at the VA
