       b. 1900 the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company was founded.

       c. 1946 Whittaker Chambers accused Alger Hiss of being a member of the communist party.   

       d. 1977 Tandy Corporation introduced the TRS-80 one of the first mass produced personal computers.   

       e. 2004 the pedestal of the Statute of Liberty reopened after being closed as a result of the 911 attacks.
