The Elevation Church With 26,000 Worshippers a Week, 7th Largest in Nation Leaving the SBC Due to Its Ban on Women Priests

Without a doubt religion in America is under attack
The number of those believing in God keeps falling back
On the political front the First Amendment’s freedom of religion is under fire each day
Many believers are convinced this nation under God is withering in decay
COVID-19 trumped the right to hold services and mass
The day that overwhelming majority of Americans are Christians has faded into the past
As attendance is on a downward trend
Some of the reasons are self-inflicted we hope might end
Like the never ending saga of sexual abuse by priests
Despite millions upon millions in damages paid has not yet ceased
Another self-destruct path is the banning of women in the priesthood
As women are the equal of men in almost every field other than in combat and sports the ban is hard to be understood
Mormons and Catholics refuse to open the priesthood to females
But at least a Mormon priest can marry and divorce if marriage fails
Catholic priests are out of luck and to avoid being defrocked must take a celibacy vow
A very probable reason why priests are fewer in number, aging and more migrants now
Unlike most denominations that are Protestants, the Southern Baptist Convention will not females ordain
The Elevation Church headquartered in Matthews, North Carolina with 26,000 worshipers a week will its affiliation with the SBC no longer retain
SBC at its annual convention amended its constitution to female priests ban
With membership falling closing the priesthood to women is really hard to understand.
