       a. 1804 former Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton died after being shot the day before in a duel with Aaron Burr the Vice President of the U.S.
       b. 1948  Israeli Premier David Ben Gurion ordered the explusion of all Palestinians from Lod and Ramle.

        d. 1967 five days of riots began in Newark, New Jersey, leaving 26 dead and hundreds injured.
