Chicks Dig It--Starbucks

Chicks Dig It; all brains matter and a mind is a terrible thing to waste

Sitting at a Starbucks watching a youth to knowledge try to taste

In our world where it is hard to slow down to a helping hand extend

If we as humans do not reach out how will we ever try to hopelessness and despair end

The American Dream may have become a growing night mare

With more and more stories of growing despair

This poet thinks it is not dead

The youth be they dreamers or native want this country to move ahead

Chatting with a person of aspiration and dreams across a table

The American Dream is still real, not a trash can fable
