There will
always be an England even if the Sun has largely set
But whether
it will include Scotland is no longer a safe bet
In a
Braveheart moment the Scots tomorrow vote on whether to stay or leave
This poet’s
mother was a Scot, so proud of what her clan had achieved
The bagpipes
and the Highland Games thrilled her to her very core
She always
felt Scotland without the prissy Brits could achieve more
It will be
an interesting vote; if the Scots vote yes will Wales be next?
Will
Northern Ireland unite with the Irish Republic as a reflex?
If yes the
Brits will have to move their Trident nukes
The Bank of
Scotland is already if yes sounding a rebuke
Weakened by
the loss of Scotland the Brits’ stomach to join in the ISIS fight may go sour
Another step
toward becoming a much lesser world power
Maybe Mel Gibson
should paint his face half blue
Urge the
Scots to stay in before the vote the United Kingdom undoes
But in the
civilized world as opposed to the Putin’s armed separatists
The Scots
are using the ballot box the results the Brits will not resist.
