Playport
Bunco Squad
In the 50’s on the small screen from Friday and
just the facts
We learned that cities had forces to
siren vices to attack
A simpler time when dads wore suits
and Fathers knew Best
Save in Vegas the sounds of a roll of
the dice or “hit me” for a card or two, a likely arrest
A city’s bunco squad always alert for
gambling to stop
But like too many police powers enforcement
over the top
The professional gambler with marked
cards or hidden in his sleeve lumped in
the bingo crowd
No smoke filled rooms but easy to
find with the church ladies screaming loud
Thank God today the priorities have shiffed
for the police
No more gambling to curtail so the
ladies can have the hope and excitement bunco can release
Bunco is thy name
Dice excitement is the game
Play it once and life will never be
the same
Never again without the dice to
boredom tame.
It takes a village like one at
Playport
Cheer, laugh, blow on the dice and
roll; may your winnings not come up short
