Trump and the Art of the Deal

We have had to endure almost 8 years of an arrogant, egotistical, narcissistic president in the form of Obama

Complete with all the ongoing deception and dishonesty drama

Obama believes he is always the smartest man in the room

Needing to lecture us mere mortals as the Constitution he seeks to entomb

Worse he believes not in American exceptionalism and is quick to go on apology tours

While the world of tyrants into the vacuum rush in as daily we become less secure

Trump seems cut from the same cloth and makes Obama look like a shy wall flower

But at least he is a patriot to his core and is determined to make America great again, to restore its power

Apologies to the rest of the world for America’s standing and achievements from Trump you will not hear

His First Lady unlike Michelle is proud to be an American and to its values adhere

The 64 dollar question will be will Trump surround himself with competent people who with him from time to time will disagree

Or will he like Obama surround himself with sycophants who will treat Trump’s pronouncements as holy decrees?

Politics may not be just another negotiation with a goal to achieve a deal

But after eight years of gridlock we need someone who the Blue and Red rifts and divisions can heal

No more of a politician’s view that everyone else is wrong

And if you don’t agree you don’t belong

Ideology and gridlock in our capital must be erased

The art of the deal put firmly in place?
