The shadow of the PC police as we
have seen in San Bernardino can kill
Neighbors saw something amiss but stayed
silent cowed by the PC chill
Report something suspicious about a
Muslim and you’re disgraced for being in Islamaphobia’s grip
So silence and 14 were killed and 22
wounded when Farook and Malik let the bullets rip
A bomb making factory, all sorts of
coming and going at all times during the day and night
One word from a neighbor to the
police and those two fanatics would never have been able to get into the
jihadist fight
The greatest cause of death on the
highways, roads and streets
Is not rain, snow, texting, phoning,
black ice or sleet
Is the driver who has had one too
many and is driving as a DUI
Odds so increased that the drunk
driver will hit someone or something and people will die
Too many people drink to excess and
even with UBER or Lyft
Drive totally impaired; if lucky you
can see them weave and across lanes drift
On the holidays like St. Patrick’s
Day, New Year’s Eve or Super Bowl the carnage is worse
But the king of alcohol consumption
days is Cinco de Mayo when too many drink until credit limits gone or nothing left
in their purse
Oakland PD as part of its mandate to
protect and to the public serve
Announced DUI checkpoints to life and limb on this day try
to preserve
Applause, praise, rousing cheers to
make sure DUIs did not abound
No only the PC police howling in
outrage and once again reason drowned
If you are celebrating in Oakland
and drink way too much tequila and beer
Until you hit someone or something
from the Oakland PD, you have nothing to fear
That is unless you end up in the morgue instead
Bones broken and very, very dead
