Five Months Old And On Top Of The World

In the game of life nothing brings more joy than to see the face of a newborn
All troubles and worries  from his mind and body completely shorn
Being bounced gently by his mother to light up his face in smiles
While at a poet in line making faces more grins all the while
Nothing like being in a Starbucks waiting for a French Roast pour over refill
Secure in the comfort that with a Gold Card earned again there will be no bill
Great coffee for the poet and for two  mothers in line great joy

Although at five months this young man cannot speak; if he could he would say “With a mom like this, I am a very lucky boy.”
