No one likes
to be cramped like two legged sardines on a Hawaiian flight
But if a surfer
and you want the waves that thrill you have to endure be prepared to complain and
gripe
5 plus hours
of no food, screaming kids from hell
All in the
quest to find the perfect North Shore swell
Saying a
prayer to the surfing gods before you board the plane
That your
checked board lands with you to face the North Shore wave train
Thanks to
mother nature and a place known as the Wedge in Newport Beach
Waves this week
end of twenty five feet are within our surfers’ reach
No need to
board another lousy service plane
No need to
endure the airline gouging pain
Time to a sun
burn and cheap lei forgo
Off to the
Wedge to enjoy the surf’s coming show
Just another
reason why this little piece of sand dotted with harbor yachts
Is a place
to live, always the neighborhoods so wisely sought
