With egg prices soaring to astronomical heights
And Americans in inflation worries causing major fright
Will the hallowed tradition of the Easter Egg Hunt be replaced
With plastic eggs with candy inside that to which the children race?
Potato farmers are trying to ease the buying pain
Promoting for Easter Americans buying eggs refrain
Instead decorate a potato which is much cheaper instead
And lacks the smell of rotting eggs that most noses dread
Thanks to Brandon, another tradition may bite the dust
Harder and harder to the inflation is transitory from the White House trust
Maybe just as well as the hens prior to Easter do all the work
And the Easter Bunny such tasks completely shirks
