April 14, 2023 Ridley's Believe It Or Not

Donald Trump, Ron De Santis, and Nikki Haley must be breathing a sigh of relief that Mike Pompeo, the sort tough but brilliant mind we need to confront the Chinese and the Russians has announced he will not run but he has not announced who would have his support but the betting money should be on his not supporting Trump. Anheuser-Busch is still taking flack for its partnering with transgender Dylan Mulvaney but trying to ignore the backlash by sponsoring the NFL Draft as viewers are wondering why electrifying TCU wide receiver Quentin Johnston. In another example that death is often not predictable as to when and why, Lesley Van Ness a meteorologist for WGEM in  Quincy, Illinois died unexpectedly on vacation. Finally a thread of sanity in Biden’s relentless war on domestic oil production as an 804 mile long natural gas pipeline and a LNG facility has achieved approval to move forward as the Green warriors vehemently blast the administration. While the cartels sending marijuana across the border to sell without paying the tax or the licensing fees, the legal recreational marijuana dealers are struggling under an oppressive taxation and regulation environ compounded by the difficulty from a banking standpoint dealing with a drug while legal in an increasing number of states is still illegal at the federal level.
Ridley’s Believe It Or Not April 14, 2023
Noted Holidays: National Day of Silence: Created by a group of students at the University of Virginia to create a nonviolent protest which they did by creating a Day of Silence which 150 students took part with the following year it had spread to 150 colleges and universities. The silence was meant to empathized with gay and lesbian students who felt silenced and fearful of discussing or even revealing their sexual orientation. In 2001 GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian and Straight Educational Network became a sponsor and the day continues to promote a day of silence which ends with a rally or teach-in with GLBTQ students leading to promote their inclusion in the student body.
Word of the Day:  The word of the day is “ambeer” which means the juice created by chewing which cannot be swallowed but must to spit into a cup spittoon with non-chewers empathizing for those who have the habit or the chore of cleaning out the spittoons.
Number 1 Song: As we have left the past and returned to start the clock backwards from the present, the number 1 song on this day in 2014 was  “Happy” by Pharrell Williams on a run of 10 weeks to share with 9 other songs that achieved number 1 status  while 6  acts achieved number 1 status  for the first time. Here is a music video of Pharrell performing with lyrics “Happy”:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6Sxv-sUYtM

Rose appeared in 17 All Star Games in an unequaled 5 different positions and still holds the following MLB records:

The only   The one record he pursued all out was a record that eluded him was Joe DiMaggio's consecutive base hits of 56 but Rose got close at 44. Sadly Rose had a gambling problem as was betting some $10,000 a week and was betting in addition to other sports including baseball and was while a manager betting against the Reds. He was banned from baseball for life which explains why despite his stellar record he is not and will never be in the MLB Hall of Fame.
