On the January 6 “insurrection” Biden was quick to lash out
Not a peaceful protest but a threat to democracy was what it was all about
Certainly it was a historic moment that we had not seen
Since the War of 1812 when the Red Coats with their torches stream
But so to was the arraignment of a former president today
A case of a politicized system of justice put on display
From Biden on Trump’s indictment and arraignment not a word
When questioned Jean-Pierre justification was absurd
Claimed 500 people arrested and people died
While Biden ran to bring the nation together not to have democracy denied
Her lame attempts did not go well with reporters in the room
While the specter of the politicization of our justice system loomed
Watching an unprepared Press Secretary locked into the Biden
line
Have to have some sympathy for this woman who the truth must confine
