The
news coming from Cleveland demonstrated the power of three workers trained to
use a firearm
At
a Taco Bell in Cleveland in the early morning hours two would be robbers raised
their alarm
Faces
covered by masks they ordered five employees to drop to the floor
That
was a command three employees fearing for their lives chose to ignore
They
drew their firearms and shot to death one of the robbers trying to commit a
crime
Too
many stories in the past of workers handing over a cash register’s dollars and
dimes
Then
herded into the back and shot dead
Not
this time as the second robber fled
There
can never be a cop on every corner or cruising along every street
If
felons know that attempting a robbery exposes them to a citizen’s pistol, from
that activity they will retreat
Would
be an interesting experiment to conduct to counter the hysteria over the “need”
for more gun control
Train and arm workers to shoot with
signs to that effect on windows and doors, crime would fall not soar
Criminals
may not be the brightest lot
None
of them want to rob a store where they might be shot
